B.1 Owner Responsibilities Owners are required to remain active and engaged in all RWDOC activities at all times. Participation includes but is not limited to such things as being present for the annual draft, discussing/voting on club matters, responding to emails from other owners, submitting valid lineups every week, and being active on our forum.
**While talking "smack" is always a part of some owner's personality and is to be expected (and enjoyed)... inflammatory, overly offensive, or ethnic, racial, or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. The RWP will have total authority in drawing the line between an "all in fun" brag, joke or, "smack" and an inflammatory, offensive, or taunting, act. However, this is a league for adults so in no way will there be an expectation to keep things cleaner than an R-rated movie. Owners will be expected to conduct themselves in a manner that will not disparage the club or its members in any way.
At Roster Wars, every owner is equally responsible for monitoring club activities and reporting any infractions. The following rules on owner’s conduct are in effect:
A. RWDOC owners absent from our forum for 5 days without prior approval shall be fined. The "RWDOC MEMBERS" button under the banner shows when owners last visited the forum and will be utilized to this end. (January 2024)
B. Owners should respect fellow owners and answer all emails or private messages within three days. Earlier would be preferred.
C. Owners are expected to act in the best interest
of the RWDOC at all times. This includes bringing any flaws in these bylaws to the attention of the RWP as opposed to exploiting them for personal benefit.
D. Owners are expected to vote on all RWDOC proposals brought up for a vote within 5 days (January 2024) of the poll’s creation.
E. Owners are expected to inform the RWP if they do not plan on returning to the league as soon as they know that to be the case.
F. Owners must be active on the Roster Wars forum. Active is defined as reaching 30+ posts every month and not exceeding 7 calendar days without a post without prior approval from the RWP or RWVP. Consistency is important. Doing close to the minimum most of the month and dropping 20+ posts in one visit to meet league requirements will result in a conversation with the RWP about how you're missing the point and maybe you're not a good fit for our club. 1. Owners may not share other owners’ trade offers on the forum.
2. A team can state things that reveal their own intentions if they choose so long as it doesn't violate B.1.G.1.
B.2 Penalties and AccountabilityA. If a substantiated report of an RWDOC owner’s failure to comply with club rules or expectations is made, the owner will be penalized by the club.
B. The penalty for such infractions in Roster Wars are monetary fines. These monetary fines will be added to the progressive pot where they are available to be won by Main League owners of the RWDOC. If the owner refuses to pay the fine, the RWDOC will consider the noncompliance as an immediate resignation from the club. This action/inaction will not be considered exiting the RWDOC in good faith, and thus the insurance money as well as the current year’s dues will not be refunded. There are
absolutely no exceptions that will be considered. This is the harshest rule of its kind that the RWP is aware of and it is intended to make weaker owners think hard about whether they belong in the RWDOC or how important it is to them since their actions are below expectations.
C. Infractions will stay with a team on a rolling calendar for one year. The one-year clock begins on the date the fine is paid. Any offenses within the past year
are considered when looking at an owner’s standing with the RWDOC and when determining new fine amounts.

E. As long as an owner pays the penalty imposed, they may remain in the club.
***Fines are capped at $100. Additional penalties will continue to result in $100 fines. An owner earning multiple fines at this level may lose the right to control their own fate and be removed from the RWDOC if the RWP feels it is more appropriate.
F. An owner who receives a fine will have five (5) days to pay it. Exceptions will be made solely at the discretion of the RWP in situations that warrant it. If the five (5) days pass without the owner handling their business, the RWDOC will consider it their resignation from the league.
H. Offenses that will result in a penalty fine FOR ALL ROSTER WARS OWNERS are as follows:
01. Absent for 5 days without prior approval from the RWP (January 2024)
02. Failure to respond to trade offers and/or emails within three (3) days (without prior notification absence *RWP discretion*)
03. Failure to vote on any official league poll by the deadline set forth by the RWP.
04. Reaching 7 days without a post on our forum. (without prior notification of an absence or RWP approval) (January 2024)
05. Fewer than 30 posts in a calendar month
06. An invalid lineup (or no lineup at kickoff of first game)
07. League Dues and Fees not paid by deadline set forth by RWP
08. Not activating IR players by the February deadline
09. Bidding on players in stage 1 of RFA without having opened auctions of your own
10. Illegally bidding on players during RFA
11. Failure to set contracts by July 31 deadline or gross negligence as defined by the RWP in setting contract lengths
12. Exceeding franchise contract cap
13. Failure to participate in Survey Game
14. Failure to call-out a playoff opponent (when applicable)
15. Failure to draft in a timely manner (RWP will provide ample warnings prior to this fine being issued)
16. Failure to deliver Pro Bowl lineup (if applicable)
17. Failure to respond to a poaching claim on an owner’s Practice Squad
18. Accruing a negative warbuck balance for any reason (any reduction that remains negative will re-trigger)
19. Failure to activate a player from IR within three (3) days of their eligibility being removed on MFL (January 2021)
20. Insufficient WBs for a penalty requiring WBs to be paid (January 2021)
21. Failure to report owner(s) for not responding to trade offers AND whining about owners not responding to trade offers on the RWDOC forum (January 2021)
22. Failure to deliver an alphabetized list (by last name) of contracts by the July 31st deadline (RWP discretion on error tolerance)
23. Releasing a 0-year contract player after contract rollback before they are processed by RFA.
24. Failure to announce a contract within 24 hours for a promoted player during the playing season per Bylaw J.2.D.
25. Failure to have appropriate funds in your RW account for any entry/wager made and failure to follow guidelines on how to send funds to RWP for processing (January 2024)
26. A violation of Bylaw B.1.G by sharing another owner’s trade offer, at the discretion of the RWP. (January 2024)
