Roster Wars World Tour

"My big plan as a content contributor is a video series I'm calling the Roster Wars World Tour.

The concept ends up being highly similar to the "Hanging Out With Roster Wars" series Brad did in 2016. There were 7 of those episodes, and when Andy tipped my cap to the similarity of the concept to Brad's former series, I went back and watched them all and asked Brad for his clearance to move ahead with a new rebooted version of the series. I was happy that he was totally cool with it, and he even agreed to be the first guest, which only seemed right to me, since I am attempting to pick up an idea that he originated years ago.

The concept is to do a video visit with (over time) as many owners as will be cool with doing it. Not everyone is comfortable going on camera, so I understand that it won't be for everyone, but for those who are open to it, I look forward to getting to know as many league mates as possible, and then sharing that insightful discussion with the league so we all can get to know each other better. And that's really what I view the series as being primarily about. I'm sure fantasy football will come up and be discussed, but there's already tons of fantasy football talk all over this forum, so I guess you could say that I'm primarily interested in getting to know the owners behind the avvy photos a bit better.

So I'm explaining the concept a bit in depth here because I'm kinda simultaneously pitching it to all of you to consider being part of gradually. My goal once things get going will be to aim for an episode every couple weeks. But even if I'm able to maintain that pace consistently, it'd take me nearly two years to get to all our owners.

Like I said, I understand that it won't be for everyone, so I'm not expecting that, but it will certainly be a year+ journey. So if you're not sure if you'd be up for it as you read this, hopefully as the episodes start coming out, you'll feel more comfortable with it as you see that it's not something intended to be anything but a net positive for each person and the league as a whole.

I've been stewing on this for a while, and I finally got my old podcast equipment set up last night and did a proof of concept with Nick (thanks, Nick!) to check that the audio and video worked well on the Streamyard interface. He was able to connect to it on his phone, and it looked/sounded great, so it should be highly accessible to anyone who is up for participating down the line. So things are finally good to go here. The first episode should be rolling out in a week or two once I can coordinate a time to connect with Brad for episode 1. Lfg!"
