I love playing poker and would do it professionally if I could. I play in a home game every Friday night.

I'm also a a card player.  I used to think it would be a baller ass way to make a living until the last time I was in Vegas I played most of the three days we we're there and by the end of it I was sick of being in the casino.  I imagine it is pretty easy to get sick of grinding.

Yeah I'm sure it's a crazy grind. My buddies and I go to Vegas every year for March Madness. We gamble on the games, hit up the Encore Beach Club, play poker and drink. Only a few weeks left! cheers

That sounds like a lot of fun!  I bet $1/2 during March madness in Vegas feels like stealing!!

For the most part yeah, but I've seen some pretty good players who just happen to be at the tables. The majority of the players are watching the games so you can get away with bluffs pretty often.

I'd own a high class fully nude strip club called the "cat house." Would also have a sports bar pool hall called "lucky cat" either on the second level or in the basement. The eatery for the two would serve good grub any pork, beef, and chicken that can be cooked over an open fire. Now, if it's a 3 story building I'd add in a massage parlor called "stray cats." Basically going to work would be like going out to play except instead of spending money I'd be making the money.

wink

Worked on an alpaca farm when I was in high school, the place I was at was run by some great people who would host events and stuff for the community during the weekends. I would love to be that type of person when I retire.

I would be the Prime Minister of Canada, I would kick all the ISIS members out that Trudumb has let into the country.  I would let people say Mankind all they want.
No but seriously I would play in the NHL or MLB.

Not sure if he still does it but Rob (Degenerates) has gone to the WSOP multiple times IIRC.

Really?! The Main Event is a $10k buy-in. I told the wife that if we ever won the lottery, or even a 6 figure payday that I'd enter just for the hell of it.

I don't believe he was playing in the Main Event. IIRC he would satellite his way if possible.

Because we were waiting for you guys to join us first! I used to play a lot but I counter any good that I was with some bad habits that ruin it. Knocking it off has been a good decision for sure. Playing once in a while casually is cool for me.

As a single man, I grinded a living out of poker for 2 years.  Played almost every single night at the Casino. Then they moved the Casino 30 minutes out of the City onto a reserve, it became harder to get out there to play.  I hate online, so I could only play house games for awhile but then the people I played with started getting crazy stupid. Started upping the game to 1000 dollar buy-ins, they even hired security to watch the door.  Shit became too illegal for my liking.  I also didn't like associating with drug dealers.

Hey sounds like plenty poker players on here, we should try and organise and online game for RW folks?

I would be happy to put into the pot, but I am not a good player!

I'm also down. Is there some poker software that makes this possible? We could use our RW banks to avoid a rake and any legality issues.

I haven't played online in forever but if there is a site where we could set up a FREE one table tourney or something so that it's just our group we could totally play a RW tourney. I don't miss playing but I would totally play in a RW-only tourney if we could figure out the details.

Poker Stars has Home Games that you can create for private groups. I'll create one and figure out who wants in and stuff.

Ok, I've created our own Roster Wars Poker Club! Download the Poker Stars software and follow these directions:

1) On the right side of the main menu, select More

2) Click on Join a Poker Club

3) Enter the Club ID 2143901 and Invitation Code of warbucks

4) I've created my name as Cyclone City RW.
