The Pigskins nearly broke 200 points in a game in which their QBs scored a combined 27 points.  Expect 170+ most weeks from them.

Reminds me of the Patriots.  Putting up points but from unexpected sources.  Case in point, ASJ put up 18 for the men in blue.

So Rishard is gonna retire if the NFL makes players stand for the anthem?  As a fellow Bomber puts it:  “OK, Bye.”

Don’t let the 116 points fool you.  The Steel Cats faced major bye issues in week 5.  They’ll claw their way back to the top 3.

Um, yeah, Fournette scores 31.40 points and the Divine were still the lowest scoring offense last week.  Basically everyone put up a bad week.  The Divine better start working on turning that water into wine before it’s too late.

No one expected them to be good.  And they’re not.  But they’ve been respectable. And that’s a surprise.  Keep an eye on JuJu.  He will impress.

The RBs were bad.  And now Powell is injured.  The Diggers have a few bright spots but most of the team wouldn’t even start for Ed.

I’ll admit it.  I was wrong about Gordon --  thought it was just alcohol.  Maybe if the WR gig doesn’t work out he can coach for the ‘Phins.  Luckily, the Squad hasn’t need him this year with Kupp, Kearse, and Richardson exceeding expectations.

Gotta give ‘em props.  They were smart enough to keep Dwayne Allen on the bench.

The Nightmare have flashed at points during this season but the wheels are starting to come off.  Has anyone seen Golladay lately?

Do you think Joe saw himself in 11th place when looking at his preseason lineup of Brees, Cam, Ajayi, Kamara, Riddick, Woodhead, Cooks, Evans, ARob, Watkins, Eifert?  Really disappointing season so far.

DB has been a weakness but 40 points from Slay and Thomas really helps.

Raise your hand if you thought Justin Houston was this good.  Ok, now lower your hand you liars.  Guys like Vigil and Houston have combined with the Cats’ studs to put them a cat hair out of first place.

Less than 3 points separate the top 3 teams.  But Dave’s grasp on a top spot seems weakest.  He’s had a few players light it up but he lacks to the depth to keep his position during the bye weeks.

Thomas Davis was one of the great bargains during RFA.  He must be 78 years old by now but keeps putting up the points.  I have a feeling that you’ll see a few more guys emerge from the Knights’ bench to be contributors as the season wears on.

Keep your eye on the Brawlers’ DEs in the coming weeks.  Guys like Barnett, Clark, and Williams should become major contributors.

3 of his top 6 defensive players are DTs – just like he planned it in the offseason.

I’m not sure if anyone else has been paying attention but Poyer has 97 points this season.  The Skins had a great week 5 but they overperformed.  Expect a regression to the mean this week.

Just picked up Ray Ray.  Would’ve been a great move 3 weeks ago.  Not sure if he has a role with Reuben Foster coming back.

Can we have a moment of silence for JJ?  One of the greatest defensive players we have ever seen and a truly great guy.  It’s a shame to see him go down for a 2nd year in a row.

I like the Pullard pick up and Trevathan comes back (after talking to Davante Adams and clearing the air).  That helps but more is needed.

The season hasn’t quite gone as planned for Ed.  But the first year in RW is always the toughest.

Definitely not the way I thought it was going to play out, but 4-1 is 4-1. Defense is making up for a struggling O.

If I can at least stay middle of the pack on D after the way my defense started I'll be happy

Russ of the Brawlers said ... "Three things are certain in life: Death, taxes, and Ed in last place."

It's comments like those that may lead me to never sit in my favorite lazy boy chair when logging into RW's as a protest to bullyism. laughing

Ah fuck, who am I kidding ... kick them while they are down, it leads to less possible groin strains when kicking someone at knee level or lower. Evil laugh

Thanks for the weekly update Russell, you bad bad man.

wink

Thanks Russ. I did not think my Defense would be this bad.
