H. Warbucks

H.1 Warbucks (WBs)
The Warbuck (WB) is the official currency of the RWDOC.  On January 1st each year, every team will receive a fresh allotment of 225WBs.  Any amount not used during the season is carried over to the next.  WBs are used for blind bid waivers during the playing season, for the restricted free agency (RFA - See bylaw Y) bidding in the non-playing season, and are required for buying out contract years at all times.  WBs are NOT assigned to players as a salary.  WBs do NOT represent real cash value.  WBs may NOT be wagered in any capacity.

IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF EACH OWNER TO MONITOR THEIR ACCOUNTS AND REPORT ANY POTENTIAL DISCREPANCIES TO THE RWP IMMEDIATELY.

A franchise that acquires a negative Warbuck balance will be issued a penalty fine. Any instance that results in a reduction of WB that is a negative balance will re-trigger a penalty fine. (January 2024)


H.2 Trading Warbucks
WBs can be included in all trades and can be traded for players, picks, and/or both.

H.3 Warbuck Awards (Main League only)
In addition to the yearly allotment described above, RWDOC teams will be awarded WBs for the following reasons:

a) 25WBs awarded for winning the Loser Bracket
b) 5WBs awarded to owners of League MVP (high scorer at conclusion of regular season)
c) 5WBs awarded to owners of Rookie of the Year (highest scoring rookie in RW) (conclusion of regular season)
d) 5WBs awarded to owners of QB of the Year (highest scoring QB at conclusion of regular season)
e) 5WBs awarded to owners of RB of the Year (highest scoring RB at conclusion of regular season)
f) 5WBs awarded to owners of WR of the Year (highest scoring WR at conclusion of regular season)
g) 5WBs awarded to owners of TE of the Year (highest scoring TE at conclusion of regular season)
h) 5WBs awarded to owners of PK of the Year (highest scoring PK at conclusion of regular season)
i) 5WBs awarded to owners of DT of the Year (highest scoring DT at conclusion of regular season)
j) 5WBs awarded to owners of DE of the Year (highest scoring DE at conclusion of regular season)
k) 5WBs awarded to owners of LB of the Year (highest scoring LB at conclusion of regular season)
l) 5WBs awarded to owners of CB of the Year (highest scoring CB at conclusion of regular season)
m) 5WBs awarded to owners of S of the Year (highest scoring S at conclusion of regular season)
