| 1 Who are you? Where do you live? My name is Brandon Perry and I live in Melbourne, Australia. My wife is an aussie and we moved over here permanently a bit over 3 years ago and loving it.....great country. I'm a computer guy and do anything IT that I can. Currently a student getting the darn Aussie piece of paper as you cant do anything over here without a "certificate" of some kind. Run a business on the side more as a hobby for computer repair and pc building specializing in HTPC's (Home Theatre PC's). As mentioned before I've been married for 15 years and have 3 boys ages 10-14. Other hobbies besides fantasy football include movies, tv shows, and playing/coaching basketball.
2 Tell us about your fantasy football experience, including the types of leagues you play in and where they are hosted. I started playing fantasy football back around 97-98 and started my friends/family league back then on a spreadsheet using the Monday boxscores. That league is still kicking now on MFL for the last 5+ years with 4-5 original owners still with us. I just started up a local Melbourne, Australia league so that I could get that live draft experience back that I have missed so much since moving so super excited for that in a few weeks. I have played redraft, keepers, dynasty, and IDP of various configurations. I love dynasty but have had issues finding a league that will stick together longer then 2-3 seasons which has led me to RW. As far as where things have been hosted from memory random yahoo, espn, nfl.com leagues over the years but mainly fanball back awhile ago before making the move to MFL for just about everything. Had a few Fleaflicker leagues as well.
3 Why do you want to be part of RW, what drew your interest? I love Dynasty but have struggled to find a league that can stay together more then 2-3 seasons. I have watched so many fold that I actually went away from Dynasty for the last few seasons to concentrate on Keeper leagues that I have had more luck with but long for a league that I can build a team and not feel like I am wasting my time.
4 How much time in a typical week do you spend on your fantasy football hobby? WAY too much....I dont even want to know how many hours as it would scare me but I imagine it would be 10+.
5 Talk about a favorite memory or crazy fantasy football related story One that sticks out is a Dynasty league I was in about 4 years ago.....first season.....6 out of 12 teams make the playoffs. I was the highest scoring team that season but had the shittiest luck that season with match-ups and actually missed the playoffs. Talk about feeling ripped off. Luck always plays a large role but never seen anything like that before.
6 What do you think members of your other leagues would say about you as an owner? Competitive, active, and dedicated. Many owners I have been league mates with I have developed friendships with and in many cases am in multiple leagues with many of the same owners.
7 Anything else you would like to add? Would love to get into the Training Camp league for this season and get on the waiting list with the hope/intention of grabbing a team next season in the Dynasty League. Over $100 USD is a good chunk of change in AUD right now but something I could plan for for next season. Look forward to getting involved in the forums during the season and getting to know everyone!
Any others from Australia per chance?

Only been here a short time myself, and the more you look around the board, the more you appreciate just how much everyone contributes to make this the best, and "most active league anywhere." Look forward to seeing you on the boards!! |

| Pretty sure Mike still lives in Australia.
I love where you live because of Steve Irwin. I was so sad when he died. Childhood hero.
Welcome to the group! |

| Haha they totally disown themselves from Paul Hogan....Fosters Beer is certainly not Australian.....Outback Steakhouse is also not Australian......no one here claims Mel Gibson.
We do claim Hugh Jackman...also the man.....the Hemsworth's......Nicole Kidman.
The best one is Russell Crowe who they claim when he is popular and pawn off on New Zealand when he is in trouble :) |

If you lived here and called it "Melburn" or "Melborn" you would quickly be labeled the stupid one :) |

| I wouldn't mind because I'd be saying it how it's spelled.
I've only been to Melb-orne once to go to the Consulate, but seemed like a cool city. I live in Adelaide. |

| Same thing anywhere you live they say word differently....in Utah the town of Hooper was pronounced Hoopa....down south everything is pronounced differently.
Of all the things to get used to when moving to Australia learning how to pronounce Melbourne was one of the most minor ones heh.
Never been to Adelaide before but would love to get over there at some point. I have a lot of site seeing to do in Australia.....big place heh. |

| There's not a lot in Adelaide unless you like wine or churches. Nice place to live though - good quality of life. It's a pretty small city, short commutes and all that. We don't have the housing bubble going on where you are and Sydney, which is too bad because I'd sell my house!
What visa are you on? 801 or whatever? Do you use the NFL Gamepass?

Married to an aussie for 15 years so I did it the easy way......Permanent Resident....can file for citizenship in another year. Yup gamepass every year for sure....only way to go....waiting on the yearly discount code they seem to always put out before jumping on it this season. |

| No rugby....Victorians dont care about rubgy!
I dont mind watching footy....wifey is a Hawks fan and kids are Tiger fans. I havent picked a team but enjoy going to the games.
I dont mind cricket at long as its the T20 variety......maybe some day I will try a day match but no way in fucking hell I will ever watch a test match....4-5 days of slow ass cricket only to have it end in a tie....fuck that! |
