I think it's funny that others do as I do and ignore the news altogether...makes for a better life. All I know is that a bunch of criminals trashed a town and looted stores because of a court decision and then the most racist human being alive (Al Sharpton) was going to show up and make shit worse.

What do the Rams have to do with it?

Yup, that's where I live.

First, my wife turned it on to watch it as it was starting, I switched to the DVR since I refuse to acknowledge EITHER side.

I had no clue anything happened with the Rams until I looked it up after seeing this post.

The old adage holds true yet today....

"No news is good news."

Dynasty Football World Championship. It's my only DST league. Pretty sure you are in it (or did you stop this year?).

No, we dropped it after a year. It may have been because it's not a real dynasty league. Too few roster spots and the rookie picks are effectively worthless after the first 2 rounds as you can't keep any developmental guys.

But the real reason was IT HAS TEAM D/ST!

Yeah it's not a good format. The only reason we're still in it is be a use we came in like 9th last year and won a free buy in. I think no matter where we finish this year, we'll do a third year because of the bigger year 3 payout, and we *should* have a chance at doing well.

But yeah to you point, we went old and have no picks next year.

Solid plan. I'm sure we;d have done something similar if we'd had that level of success.

It went the opposite way for us. We got lots of injuries and with so few bench spots got left with the option of dropping top 3 or 4 round vet picks to be able to pick up waiver trash to submit a line-up in the later weeks. Which was fucking stupid. We handled it correctly - did the right thing for the team long term and couldn't compete in the short term - but it really highlighted the flaws.

Going older is a very sensible approach.

This can surely only help...

Rams OC Brian Schottenheimer has left the team to become the University of Georgia offensive coordinator and QBs coach.

Rams fans had grown tired of Schottenheimer's vanilla scheme and passive attack. But he wasn't given much in St. Louis, especially after losing Sam Bradford for 25 games the past two seasons and being forced to work with guys like Austin Davis, Shaun Hill, and Kellen Clemens. Schottenheimer ran the Rams' offense the past three seasons, but they finished 25th, 21st, and 21st in points scored. He got the offense off to strong starts in games, but rarely made in-game adjustments. Coach Jeff Fisher has rarely hired exciting offensive coordinators, so we're not getting our hopes up this time, either. It's not a particularly attractive destination. The Rams don't have a long-term quarterback or No. 1 receiver, play in the NFC West, and may relocate within a year.

This is actually a development I am paying quite a bit of attention to. My brother has been a lifelong Rams fan. They left Los Angeles before we were grown enough to ditch home for a road trip. It would be awesome if they came back to LA in my selfish opinion.

I use to have Rams season tix. We signed a bad deal to get the Rams to STL in the first place and built an ugly concrete monster to lure a team.

An open air stadium should have built from the start and know it will take an extension of the 30 year bonds to have any chance of keeping or attracting a new team.

Kroenke has one hell of a porn stache though right?

We did the same thing up here in Toronto Canada. We built a state of the art (early 90's) stadium, that now looks like a giant concrete turtle in the center of the downtown waterfront. Seems that was the fashionable thing to do in the early 90's. Big, giant, concrete, stadiums built for games, trade shows, monster trucks, wrestling, what have you. Practical yes, Ugly way yes, traditional and easy on the eye ... Hell NO.

The Rams stadium was opened in '95, so it to was in the building phase in the early 90's. Then all these throwback open air gems stadiums became the roar like the 2 in Pittsburgh, the Twins ball park. Following the one stadium that bucked the early 90's tradition the Camden Yards ball park in Baltimore.

It will be interesting to see how Kroenke will negotiate, if at all, with city and state officials. He is a Missouri guy but he is looking at the value of his team and moving to LA only helps him.

It would be pretty easy to move on to the next great deal I guess. He was a part of the group that brought the Rams to STL and looks like he wants to lead them away too

Not sure why I care but I really don't like the idea of another fuckin team in California. Hope the team finds a way to stay in St. Louis and if LA wants to watch a football team, drive your fuckin asses to one of the 3 you already have.

So LA could go from 0 NFL franchises to 3 franchises if the Raiders and Chargers decide to bunk together down there. Wow.

My brother still has some LA Rams memorabilia laying around I think.

I think it was a race to L.A. I don't see them going to 3 teams. I think the Rams are now clearly out front and the SD/Oakland merge to share a stadium is now dead. Maybe not officially, but it clearly is now on life support IMO.

IMO Oakland should stay in Oakland and either build a stadium somehow or cut a deal with the 49ers and share with them.

IMO SD should now eye a move to St Louis to fill that hole and use it as a leverage piece against the SD city officials to pony up or possibly lose the franchise to another city.

What about London?

Heard some rumblings the NFL wanted to spread into other markets last year. I thought that was the main reason for adding more London games to the schedule. I vote to ship the Browns over there.

I seriously have no idea where my hatred for the Browns comes from. shrug

Canada and maybe even Mexico will get teams before London.

As for the the Browns moving, don't see it. Fans aren't the problem. Ownership, GM's, and picking players is.

I thought I wrote about this shitty team and their draft before, but it must have been somewhere else. The way this team is building through the draft is aggravating as hell, and I don't even like the damn team.

I understand the idea of building from the inside out, but all they are doing is building from the inside and staying inside. It sounds like they are going after a lineman, yet again today. Last year was Robinson and Donald in the first round.

I posted before last years daft on my site that they should have drafted Watkins and traded up a few spots for Mike Evans. That would have been way better in my opinion.

The problem with doing so much drafting on the line, is that you are still building and making those picks while the first pick you made is looking for a new contract. Or maybe they will look to trade one. Like Brockers. Oh yeah, they are.

Everyone keeps laughing at the Redskins for pissing away all those draft picks for RGIII. Comparing the trade with all of this great and wonderful shit that the Rams have done with those picks. Sure they have drafted some quality guys, but what have all of those guys done for the Rams? Nothing. They still suck.

Let me narrow my thinking down a bit. Here are the Rams skill positions:

QB: Nick Foles
RB: Mason/Stacy
WR: Britt
WR: Quick
WR: Austin/Bailey
TE: Cook

For me, pass, pass, and more pass. No thank you. Garbage all around.

So please draft another lineman today so I can laugh at you. Or better yet, trade down again and pick even more lineman.

Go Kenny Britt!!

I think Foles can be a decent QB and that Cook really is a fantastic TE when he has his head in the game. Austin scares the fuck out of me. Britt has potential (no matter what Andy says.) I don't trust Quick or Bailey. You can do worse than Mason / Stacy.

In my mind they need a TRUE #1 WR. Their defense is solid. If they can get that ONE guy I think they can be better than good.

It doesn't matter what you draft or how well they've drafted lately. All that matters is QB. You win and lose with the QB position. If Foles is good they'll win. They've had shit at QB and injured shit at QB.

Need another WR after bolstering the O Line

Quick could be good, Britt is a shit head and Bailey and Austin are bums. Thought we had Parker in the bag at 10 but I guess we will have to run the ball 50 times a game

I feel bad for all the St. Louis fans.  I mean one minute you have a team to root for, then the next they are gone.  All because of greedy ass owners who give 0 shit about the fans.  NFL does what the NFL wants!  Who cares that St. Louis came up with the money they needed to keep the team there!  The NFL would rather move another team to California doh vote no

Welcome to America Boys, home of the not-so-free, and land of the greedy. Where's Gordon Gekko when you need him?

Can't say I'm a fan of this Kroenke fellow, seems like a bit of a whiney douche nozzle type. However, it is his team and if the league okays and signs off on it then so be it.

Maybe the can move the Browns to St Louis, good knows shit ain't working in Cleveland. Although I blame 100% on the Cleveland owner Jimmy "the wiper" Haslam. He is likely one of the worst all-time owners in any sport, period!

I "think" Corey and Brian are both Rams fans... Wonder what the local thoughts are on the move.

Frankly, I think they should let them move. Seems the good people of St.L have supported multiple teams.. rams/cards etc...

I would like to see the Rams build a soccer only facility - yeah, I know, I'm one of the only soccer guys here, but with Kansas City being the hub of all things US soccer, I think St. Louis could be on the cusp of a) getting an MLS team and b) having a facility that is just for soccer that lots of competitions will use. They could be one of the leaders for having a great soccer facility.

This upcoming summer is one of the largest international soccer tournaments - the Copa - it's all the countries of North, South, and Central America playing in a mini-world cup. Unfortunately, a lot of those games are going to be played in a Football stadium where they put down grass over turf. The more soccer dedicated facilities the US has, the more chances to get great tournaments like this.
