I was only 11 when the Colts left in the middle of the night (so maybe I wasn't mature enough at the time) but I can certainly understand why someone would egg team headquarters.

Man that photo gives me chills, and it is not because of the snow. What a terrible, no good, awful feeling that would be as a fan.

Now the question is, do they stay a fan of that team or find a new one to pledge their allegiance to?

Maybe it's because I've never given enough of a shit about any one team. They're entertainment and nothing more.

I think having the thought to egg the place makes sense but as an adult to actually take the time to go get eggs and drive there and do it is a bridge too far for the truly sane ones.

Oh, no, you don't remain a fan of the team.  A lot of Baltimore fans grasped onto the Ravens but I could never be a fan because Baltimore stole the Ravens from Cleveland.

For me, one of the worst things was that my winter coat was one with the Colts logo.  So I had to ride out the season in that jacket while the Redskins' fans (coming off a Super Bowl appearance) were unbearable.

Several months later, the NFL season started again and I found my new team, after the Dolphins crushed the Redskins.

Oh jeez Russ, I didn't even put two and two together that YOU WERE a Colts fan. Ouch. Well that is a great story about how you became a Phins fan.

This is part of the reason I hate Ravens fans. They all talk about how much they hate the Colts and what they did to the city of Baltimore, but have no problem basking in the glory of the Ravens (despite their mediocrity lately) and laughing at the futility of the Browns.

Talking to Gus Bradley for their DC job. I think he would be a great fit there, and would love to see what he would do with Bosa.

Reviving an old post to put in my two cents as a Chargers fan.

I think this was more of a bad move by the Rams. The Bolts haven't been great the last two years, but they are a better team then the Rams. I think of the two teams in LA, the Charger will end up being the favorite of the two. And they only have to pay $1 a year in rent for the stadium.

Also, as a Chargers fan from MN, I've got no loyalties to San Diego, just to the team. I had so many people comment on my chargers hat saying "sorry for your loss" haha

Would be cool to see more teams in more smaller cities. But I know the NFL would hate that and it's not where the money is.

Now you are talking Ian. Let's get these teams in smaller markets. LA will shoo them out in 10 years anyway.

Chargers trade for Cardale Jones, who has less passes completed in the NFL (6) than Philip Rivers has children.

RG3's audition must've not gone all that well. And Nathan Peterman secures QB2 in Buffalo. Interesting.

Yeah, last I heard was that RG3 "looked good". Guess not good enough. Doubt Jones is the post Rivers answer in LA. The bigger story here is probably Peterman to the backup role as Blake mentioned.

I think Jones will be a better backup than Clemmons. And he knows Anthony Lynn's system. Although I doubt he'll ever be needed outside of a practice arm. Rivers never misses a game.

As a Jones owner it's an improvement even if he's extremely unlikely to play. Buffalo offers absolutely nothing.

Yup...he was drafted as a "developmental" player; I could see him getting some playing time in BUF...Playing behind Rivers will yield nothing for him, barring injury to Rivers.  Only thing the trade may accomplish, is possibly the end of RG3.

True statement - Rivers hasn't missed a game since he took over for Brees. Rivers laughs at your 'barring injury' comment.

Yeah, it would have to be a serious injury to get him out. I think 2 years ago, he played the later half of the season with multiple cracked ribs.

I'm less worried about River's health being the cause of his playing days coming to an end and more concerned with him just being done.

Not enough to warrant me to stay away from owning him, much like with Big Ben and his rumors, but where there is smoke there is generally some fire and while recent reports this year have his tuned changed there were several reports about interviews about him hanging it up if the team moved to LA vice playing cause he didn't want to up-root his army of children.

With every report, who knows how much truth there is to it.. but I'd be silly if I didn't at least give this a little bit of weight

I say that a .00001% chance of starting for the Chargers is better than a 30% chance of starting for the Bills in the eyes of this Jones owner.

That's some truth right upside everyones head!

I don't think there is/was a chance of him ever starting for either team barring an injury, so I see him as no better than most backups in the league. He'll never become a franchise QB. McCarron and Garappolo are the only two that I see as having a chance, aside from some of the rookies.

OG Forrest Lamp tore his ACL in practice yesterday. With that, the Chargers are in serious doubt of seeing either their first or second round rookies on the field this year.

Clearly something is wrong with their strength and conditioning program or practice schedule.

See, I thought the same thing with our guys here in GB, we moved those guys out of their position, and the injuries did not go away. I think it is just happenstance.
