Matthews (hamstring) is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Giants, the Milwaukee Jounral Sentinel reports. Analysis: Sunday marks three weeks since Matthews suffered his hamstring injury, as well as the approximate time frame set aside for a potential return to the field. Since he was unable to practice Wednesday, it appears unlikely that he'll do so in Week 12, but Friday's injury report should clear up his unavailability this weekend.

I do so love his Fathead commercial.

Tom Silverstein from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is reporting that linebacker Clay Matthews has agreed to a five-year, $66 million contract extension with the Packers. Analysis: We had heard rumblings that the two sides were close to a deal and now it's official. Matthews struggled with injuries last season (13 sacks, 43 tackles in 12 games) but he's still one of the most feared linebackers in all of football.

Good for him!

Too lazy to go find the article again, but this guy is out like a month after having surgery on his thumb, per everyone.

Clay Matthews was forced from Green Bay's Week 3 loss to the Lions with a groin injury. Analysis: Matthews went down midway through the fourth quarter, and did not return. Matthews has been a slow healer in the past, so it's a big concern for the Packers' unimpressive defense.

Matthews moved to ILB for the game... I haven't seen Matthews that productive in a loooooong time. Is it a product of a horrible Bears team or will he be more productive at ILB. The thing with Matthews is that when he's healthy his speed makes him an impact player but after the first 4 games or so of the season he's usually playing at 75% due to a groin or hamstring strain. Matthews is horrible at 75%, some guys can play hurt and still make an impact and he is definitely not one of those players. I'd love to see him stay at ILB but I just don't know if he's durable enough.
