ESPN's Adam Schefter confirms Ravens LCB Lardarius Webb tore his left ACL in the Ravens' Week 6 win over the Cowboys.
Webb, who tore his right ACL in 2009, is almost certainly done for the season again. It's a devastating blow to a defense that may have also lost Ray Lewis (triceps) for the year. Webb, who just signed a $53 million contract in April, is clearly the top cover corner for a team that came into Week 6 ranked 23rd against the pass. The Ravens' defense is no longer one to avoid in fantasy matchups.

A fairly big blow, not only to IDP leagues, but to the Ravens as well. This will really begin to make that once vaunted defense appear really normal.

I disagree. Dont sleep on Jimmy Smith and Cary Williams...they are both still solid.

Smith was also injured yesterday, not sure of how bad. While Williams is decent, Smith will not be as good as Webb, it's a hole.

Lewis being out might mean good things for us Ellerbe owners, we'll have to see.

Webb (torn ACL) could be ready for the start of training camp, the Baltimore Sun reports. "Lardarius is on schedule, maybe a little ahead of schedule," Ravens coach John Harbaugh said. "He looks really good. He should be ready to roll by training camp it looks like. We're going to make sure we don't have a setback, that's the most important thing." Analysis: Webb, who tore his left ACL in October, should be ready by Week 1, barring an unforeseen setback. He is the Ravens' clear No. 1 corner and could provide a bigger boost to the defense than any offseason addition from the draft or free agency.

They sure could use an old face back on D.
