Before Black Monday we already have Chuck Pagano fired in Indianapolis and Jack Del Rio fired in Oakland. I am curious to see what happens tomorrow.

Rumors of Josh McDaniels to Indy. Gruden to Oakland? Will Bill O'Brien be out in Houston?

Schefter reported on ESPN that Gruden to Oakland is essentially a done deal.

Some reported 10+ mil and a stake in the teams ownership... surprised

If he was making 6 mil at ESPN, it has to be pretty lucrative.  If he gets any percentage of ownership stake, doesn't it need ownership vote from the NFL?  That would set a crazy precedent for future coaches.

Is it even possible Hue Jackson comes back to Cleveland in '18?  How do you sell the fans on a 1-31 coach the last 2 years?

I have heard that if he leaves Cleveland he will be the next coach in Cincy. Cincinnati may not make a real decision on Marvin Lewis until Cleveland makes a decision.

Reports I read said the owner told the GM that Hue gets at least 1 more year.

Remember when Tampa traded a 1st rounder for Gruden. Giving up team ownership to get a coach would really take things to a new level.

Bowles was extended but I hope Arizona comes in for him when Arians retires. He's useless, boring and failed to control Mo Wilkerson so much that now we are going to lose our standout best player over the last 7 years.

McDaniels to Indy? Is that speculation? If Luck is back at 100% that’ll be a fun offense to watch. I like McDaniels a lot. I wish the Packers would consider him. I’d love to see what Rodgers and him could do with the offense.

I know the wish list is a different thread but I wish the Packers would at least move on at DC and GM. Capers should have been gone a while back.

I don't get the Josh McDaniels love. Yeah, he might be a semi decent OC but those skills are not translatable. It seems like teams are always after coordinators because of their ability as a coordinator but need to promote them to attract them away from their current team. McDaniels failed as a HC last time and it won't go well this time.

Some coaches are better as OC's or DC's but once they get their chance they have to make the most of it naturally. So many return back as OC's or DCs when they dont work out. Daniels had his shot and it makes me nervous but he also could have finally reached the experience he needs

I think Josh McDaniels' age is his best asset. If he has it figured out this time, then a team can lock him up for a long time. He is only 41. A lot of the coaches that are being let go this weekend are 15+ years older than him. One thing that NFL coaches don't have is longevity. Only 6 teams have a coach still running things that was hired for that position prior to 2010.

I would hate to see both McDaniels and Patricia leave the Patriots, but if they do, good for them.  Always like to see good things happen to good people.  I will be interesting to see what the Patriots do if that in fact happens.

Have you seen this from Colin Cowherd?  Pretty interesting.

Yep, I know that. All I know is that we have had it pretty darn good over the years, and this year was terrible, but I was comfortable with just Dom moving. TT is one of the best in the business, at least he gets to do scouting for us.

I'm glad the Bucs are keeping their Coach, the team had some really bad breaks and some terrible depth this year. They need to continue with what this Coach has started and they will be fine.

Schneider just re-wrote his contract with the Seahawks to take the Packers clause out of it. He is still under contract, no way. Would be fun though.

Reggie signed a 4 year contract extension 12 months ago.

Great link Tim. I heard another version of this theory the other day and I have to say I think I believe it. These trades were so "un-Belichick" like, and Kraft is the only person in that organization more powerful than Bill.
