(Rotoworld) Chris Johnson has added 8-10 pounds this offseason and estimates he's up to 199. Analysis: Johnson's 2008 Combine weigh-in was 197 pounds, so he's not exactly bulked up. Coach Mike Munchak reiterated that the Titans are very pleased with Johnson's offseason participation. "He has been (here) five days a week, not three, not four," Munchak said. "He is here lifting with the program and he looks good. He is running good and moving well, and looking quick."

I am not a fan when speed guys do this.......bad...bad boy

I think he should be around 200 at his height to be able to deal with the pounding. I think that 2 lbs over his combine wait is actually a good thine. (BTW I am the other Roster Wars CJ owner)

Tennessee running back Chris Johnson, who was a non-factor again in Week 2, criticized his team's blocking for the problem. Analysis: While Johnson may be right, it's rarely a good idea to yell at the guys trying to open holes for you. The Titans have a total of 58 yards rushing in two games and they are led by Jake Locker's 32 yards on four carries.

Now it's just embarrassing...

Tennessee Titans general manager Ruston Webster said the team will take its time before coming to a decision on the future of RB Chris Johnson. The running back will be guaranteed $9 million of his $10 million 2013 salary if he is on the roster beyond the fifth day of the new league year. "For me, I like to take as much time as I can to make the decision and discuss things with everybody," Wesbter said. "Get all the opinions. Then I kind of make the decision together as a team. So yeah, I like taking my time."

Analysis: Kicking CJ to the curb would change the face of the Titans offense, not to mention toss a very talented running back into the free agency mix. Seems unlikely at this point, but it's a situation worth keeping an eye on as the end of the league year approaches.

They can say whatever they want. No way are they cutting him loose.

Tennessee Titans RB Chris Johnson said he is not in favor of the team using a two-running back system in 2013. Johnson added the team has traditionally used a goal-line back in his place, but he wants to remain the primary runner. "I know I deserve them touches, but at the end of the day, they're the coaches and I gotta go with whatever they're doing. I'm a team player, and if they feel like they can help us win by putting a bigger guy in there I'm not going to pout about it," Johnson said. "But if it's a situation where it's a two-back system, I played in a two-back system in college and I don't like it because you really can't get into a groove. That's something I wouldn't be happy with."

Quote :
Tennessee Titans RB Chris Johnson said he believes he can break the single-season rushing record set by former NFL RB Eric Dickerson. "Every running back's goal is to break that record," Johnson said. "You want to break the 2,105. I believe I can do it."

Say what you want about the guy but I love his competitive nature. He even watches the Combine to see if his record is going to hold up.

I like CJ2K as well, last year after the first few weeks all the so-called "experts" were calling for people to trade or dump the guy, which of course is ludicrous trying to trade a guy with very little perceived value... Anyhow, I held onto him believing his talent was too good to stay in a rut all season and he rewarded me by helping me win the playoff game in week 15 that got me into the championship in one of my leagues. He's a rare feature back in the NFL who is really talented, its amazing how little respect he gets in fantasy circles...

Published Fri Mar 1 10:30:00 a.m. CT 2013
(FFToday)Chris Johnson is confident of achieving big things in the 2013 season. Not only does he expect to rush for more yards than Adrian Peterson, he also believes he can make a run at Eric Dickerson's all-time single-season rushing record. The Tennessee Titans running back, coming off a 1,243-yard season in 2012, was asked on ESPN's "NFL Live" on Wednesday if he or the Minnesota Vikings' Peterson, who threatened the all-time rushing record with his 2,097 yards, would have more rushing yards next season. "Of course, '2K," Johnson said, referring to his nickname - CJ2K - which he received after rushing for 2,006 yards in 2009. When asked how confident he felt about his answer, he said he was "very confident."

Analysis: Johnson's been fortunate enough to stay healthy throughout his career, but these words should be accepted as nothing more than mere puffery. Both 27-year-old backs have exceptional ability, but Peterson gets more carries. For fantasy purposes, Peterson is much more valuable because of the number of touches he gets near the goal line. Johnson's 10 touchdowns over the past two seasons pale in comparison to Peterson's 26.

I love this guy.

OK, I'm going to bring him back up.

I've been buying him up, as cheap as I can, in a bunch of leagues. An example:

Gave: Jamaal Charles
Got: CJ/Maclin Note in this league, I also have Shady so listing CJ as a RB2. I think it was a good deal for me overall. Thanks Jason1.

Now, I'm sure I'm in the minority here, but I think this will be a huge bounce back season for him. I say that as he through everybody under the bus, blamed everyone else and just said it wasn't his fault last year. They fixed some of the issues. He has no excuses and I think he knows it.

I'm going out on the proverbial limb and saying these are his minimum stats:

1500 yds, 12 TD's rushing 30 Rec, 275 yds, 3 TD's

If I'm right, I have struck gold for not a whole lot in most places. If I'm wrong, there will be some leagues I'm watching the playoffs I'm afraid.

What the hell, it's only May....

Hopes are high!!!!!!!!!!!!

party4

I have sold Chris Johnson a lot in several leagurs to Bob.

In the trade above I had these wrs

Dez
Welker
Fitz
Antonio Brown
Keenan Allen
Justin Hunter
Willaimson

Trading my wr5 for a noticeable upgrade to Charles was a good deal. Wanted Shady but Bob was holding out on me.

Traded him in this league for Ballard and the 1.2. After some more moves

Chris Johnson
Gore
Mendenhall

Became

MJD
Ballard
Mathews
Ball
Stacy
Randle
Stepfan Taylor (my dark horse arizona rb)

Tbh I expect Mjd to match cj's numbers in 2013 and Ball to start so my trading chris Johnson was a very good move both for this year and depth wise

According to the Nashville Tennessean, Chris Johnson "looks to be in great shape" at Titans OTAs and "has been explosive."

Keep in mind we heard similar things all last offseason. When the games began, Johnson's effort was hit or miss and he blamed his offensive line for poor performances. Johnson will play behind the most talented O-Line of his career in 2013, but we still anticipate inconsistency. He's a boom-or-bust back.

Shame he looks wank when he's on the field in games...

(Rotoworld)Chris Johnson rushed 11 times for 65 yards in Saturday's third preseason game against the Falcons.

Analysis: The revamped interior of the Titans' offensive line made a difference in this one. Johnson had big holes to run through, often paved by new guards Andy Levitre and Chance Warmack. Through three preseason games, Johnson has rushed 20 times for 155 yards with one touchdown and caught three passes for 11 yards. He did lose all short-yardage work and one full series to Shonn Greene on Saturday, but he's running with purpose. Johnson's jets remain unmatched.
