After spending 4 hours on the computer tonight sifting thru offers, inquiries, and still trying to education myself on WB's, extensions, contracts, ect.....  the Nevada NightHawks made their first trade.

The NightHawks traded:

LB Reggie Ragland (5 Years) 23yrs old

The Gadabouts traded:

DE  Brandon Graham (2 Years) 28yrs old
$10 War Bucks

With Ragland yet to play a down for the Outlaws/NightHawks organization, the NightHawks GM was willing to move him.  It also frees up a few contract years and helps the franchise start building up some WB's to be strategically used in other areas.

Bright and early this morning, the Nevada NightHawks pulled the trigger on a second deal.

The NightHawks traded:

S  Harrison Smith (3 Years) 27yrs old

The Dragons traded:

LB Malcolm Smith (3 Years) 27yrs old
TE Will Tye (2 Years) 25yrs old

The NightHawks have a couple of other safeties still under contract so there was room to move Smith.  Malcolm will add depth to the LB's and by adding Tye, they at least now have a starting TE under contract for 2017 in case they can not sign a RFA TE.

Sunday Funday!  The Nevada NightHawks pull off their first real block-buster deal as they now have their franchise QB:

The NightHawks traded:

DT Sheldon Rankins (4 Years) 22yrs old
2017 Round #1 Pick
2017 Round #3 Pick
2018 Round #1 Pick
$20 War Bucks

The Red Knights traded:

QB Derek Carr (1 Year) 25yrs old

With an aging QB crew consisting of Joe Flacco & Carson Palmer, along with the fact that Teddy Bridgewater may never be the same, the Nevada NightHawks needed to find a franchise QB.  At 25 years old, Derek Carr is not only the future QB of the NightHawks, he is also the franchise QB of the NightHawks.

Sunday Funday, The Sequel!  This could also be considered a block-buster deal as the NightHawks traded their top RB for some defensive help and draft picks:

The NightHawks traded:

RB Melvin Gordon (5 years) 23yrs old
WR Emmanuel Sanders (1 year) 29yrs old

The SilverBallers traded:

WR Willie Snead (2 years) 24yrs old
DE  Jason Pierre-Paul (1 year) 27yrs old
LB  Blake Martinez (5 years) 23yrs old
2018 Round #2 Pick
2019 Round #1 Pick

This was a trade where I didn't plan on moving RB Melvin Gordon.  However, with the previous block-buster trade earlier in the day, the NightHawks welcomed the opportunity to get a 1st Round draft pick back and also a 2nd Round draft pick.  The also added the top DE in Jason Pierre-Paul and an up and coming 23 year old LB.

The sun is setting on Sunday Funday, but not in the NightHawks war room:

The NightHawks traded:

LB Ryan Shazier (3 Years) 24yrs old

The Mayhem traded:

RB Ameer Abdullah (2 Years) 23yrs old
DT Star Lotulelei (2 Years) 27yrs old
2017 Round #3 Pick from the Titletown Tyrants

This deal came in at the right time (and sometimes, it's all about timing) as the NightHawks needed a RB after trading away Melvin Gordon.  RB's with foot injuries can be scary but the NightHawk medical staff assured the team that Abdullah will be 100% for 2017.  The NightHawks trust their doctors as much as they trust SMAK.  The NightHawks also have no DT's under contract for 2017, Lotulelei provides that security as the team heads into RFA.  On top of that, the NightHawks received a 3rd Round Pick after they just traded their 1st & 3rd rounders away earlier in the day.  It's funny that it took Mayhem to calm things down in the NightHawks War Room.

Sunday must be the day of the Sequel.  Block-Buster 1 & 2.  A trade with the Dragons a day before and now a 2nd trade with the Dragons:

The NightHawks traded:

WR  Sterling Shepard (5 Years) 23yrs old

The Dragons traded:

WR  Tyler Boyd (4 Years) 22yrs old
WR  Jamison Crowder (2 Years) 23yrs old
WR  Marvin Jones (2 Years) 26yrs old

Another player the NightHawks didn't plan on trading away, but the trio of WR's coming to Nevada couldn't be ignored.  Welcome the Sequel of the "Three Amigos".  Jamison Crowder is the #1 WR in Washington.  Marvin Jones is the #1 WR in Detroit.  While Tyler Boyd is the #2 WR in Cincinnati and learning from one of the best in A.J. Green.  Plus bringing a 22yr old WR and 23yr old WR into the NightHawks Nest is not too hard of a pill to swallow.  Plenty of WR's on the NightHawks roster to play the league matchups week to week.

Sneaking in a quick trade before the flurry of TT trades clog up MFL.

The NightHawks traded:

WR  Jamison Crowder (2 Years) 23yrs old
2018 Round #3 Draft Pick

The Muskies traded:

LB  Preston Brown (2 Years) 24yrs old

The NightHawks are in need of LB help and since Brown was a member of the RWTC NightHawks, we are happy to welcome him back to the franchise.  Tough giving up Crowder, but the LB gap just needed to be filled.  Having a pair of 2018 2nd Rd picks, the Hawks were able to afford moving their 3rd. Rounder.

The Nevada NightHawks made an overnight move.  Night time trades are right in the NightHawks wheel house.  grin

The NightHawks traded:

Graham, Brandon PHI DE (Year: 2) 28yrs old

SilverBallers traded:

Davis, Sean PIT S (Year: 5) 23yrs old

With the recent acquisition of Jason Pierre-Paul the NightHawks had room to move Graham.  The NightHawks now got younger on their roster with 23yr old Davis.  On top of that, Davis had scored in double-digits in the last 7 games of the season with 2 games in the 20's.  This rookie should thrive even more in 2017 with the NightHawks.

The NightHawks made a TE swap the other day and now that Ebron has passed his physical, so the announcement is being made:

The NightHawks traded:

TE  Austin Hooper (4 Years) 22yrs old

Dragons traded:

TE  Eric Ebron (2 Years) 23yrs old

The Hawks were looking for a more game ready TE for 2017 and they were also able to trim off a few contract years after picking up some years in the previous trade.

2018 2nd Round Draft Pick (Littleton SilverBallers Pick)

Some say the leap from Division ll to the Roster Wars is too big of a leap for Shaheen.  The NightHawks don't think so.  And now to leap frog over Dion Simms & Zach Miller on the depth chart will be easy.  From there, just make a leap to the end zone Mr. Shaheen!

There are some who say that Kupp hasn't faced any real competition and he doesn't even deserve a kupp of coffee in Roster Wars.  But Cooper Kupp has told the NightHawks that he is willing to live in the middle of the field and make catches there all day long, as the NightHawks kupp will be overflowing with points as he stiff-arms the rest of the competition.

So get your hands off your hips Malik, and let's get to work.  And I'm talking about during the game when the points count, not during practice.

When viewing his submitted profile pic, PK Zane Gonzalez was horrified to see that his plant foot was off by 15 degrees.  OCD or Perfectionism, the NightHawks are excited to see him striving to be the best.  How many game winning FG's and points will Gonzalez have the for NightHawks?  More than any other player picked in the 7th Round.
