Nobody feels good about owning Dez. That's Dez just being Dez.

Dez is overvalued.

Are we just going to ignore that the last time Dez played 16 games, he had 88 catches for 1300+ yards and 16 TD's?

Or the fact that Zach Brown was only able to get a 1 year deal in Free Agency? He jumped from 55 tackles to 94 tackles. For me, the chances of him repeating that season are slim to none.

Not to mention the fact that LB's can come out of anywhere and you could hit on the next big thing off the waiver wire. Lorenzo Alexander, Zach Orr and Zach Brown were top 5 LB's last year. To get a potential WR1, you need a high draft pick or a blockbuster trade.

Dez side for me too.

I do like Brown, but that's a lot to give up

Dave by a mile. Brown is just as risky as Dez. One year wonder, new team. But it's only a one year contract so he will be highly motivated.

I think Dez is a bit overvalued as well. Now with that said, I think he is a WR1 but I feel he is at the bottom of that ranking.

In 2016, he had the least number of targets per game average since 2011. He averaged 7.46 targets per game and has about a 50% reception average off those targets. Here are his targets per game numbers since 2012.

2012: 8.625 targets per game
2013: 10 targets per game
2014: 8.6 targets per game
2015: 8.22 targets per game
2016: 7.46 targets per game

Since 2013, he is losing at least about 1/2 a target per game.

Then add in the fact that Elliott gives them a solid running game and Dallas now throws the ball less. Pre Ezekiel, Dallas passed 56% of the time in 2015. Last season, Dallas passed just 49% of the time.

Dez and the 2nd. You can argue Dez being Dez, or you don't like Dez, or Dez is a whiny bitch. What you can't argue is that Dez has more value than Brown.

As it was posted earlier, in the RR auction, Dez went for TWICE as much as Brown did. Throw in a 2nd rounder too..... no doubt that if I ended up on the Dez side of the trade I am not only happy, I am staying blissfully silent because I hope to pull off another big trade. I don't want others to think I am trying to take advantage.

As the RR Dez owner, I think if you're looking at athletic potential, you have to go with him. That said, there's a story I heard out of Dallas where Dez was sued by the owner of the giant mansion he rented because he totally fucked the place up. Not only was months-old, rotting garbage piled up all over the house, but he had a couple or more dogs around that were never taken out and never cleaned up after. They also were rarely fed properly so their food was just spilled all over the place, and of course they seemed to get into the rotting trash, too.

Now, no one lives like that without some shit in their past that's not their fault. Dez has demons. Those may hold back his adult life and also his career. But his potential is though the roof.

I hate Dez Bryant but that's a clear win for Dave in terms of that trade.

I agree that Dave has a small advantage in that trade. But I feel it's very very close.

If the draft picks were reversed, I'd say close trade... But to give up Dez AND the higher pick... scratch
