Time will tell. I felt I needed to do something and that was one thing I was looking at. Upgrading my RB and DE position.

That's why I thought we'd be good trade partners. Thanks for the deal! Although eventually I will maybe learn a lesson about trading all of my multi-year players for 1 year guys. Meh- I'll let future Matt deal with it

I've found Matt to be the toughest negotiator on our side. You'll get a deal done with him but he'll take your wallet, and you keys, and your pants, and your wife.

I like Griffin, but stud WRs aren't just laying around. Plus, I think Murray was a 1 year wonder in Tenn. That will be Henry and Marcus's team. Give me AJ.

Might not be a huge thing but positioning isn't a bad idea.

Roster Wars Trade Completed

England Dragons gave up Ebron, Eric DET TE (2 yrs)
and Devils Tower Outlaws gave up Hooper, Austin ATL TE (4 yrs)

I gave up some value here - Ebron is ranked a good few spots higher than Hooper - but see it as a long term move with Hooper having 2 more contract years.

Thanks Bern - a breath of fresh air in DD trading.

cheers

Thanks Jon.  It's funny, I'm usually not a big trader but what I've noticed about taking over a team, there is really no attachment to players.  And that seems to make it easier to make some moves.  I do like Hooper's future ceiling, but I needed immediate TE help for 2017 and that's right where Ebron fits in on my team.  Also, I recently picked up 4 years with Davis, so the cutting off years here, helps balance that out.

Thanks for the deal!   agreed

I kind of thought going into it, I was going to go that route. But then I really liked a lot of the pieces that the Outlaws roster had, which included players that were on my RWTC roster. So I kind of liked that connection. Surprisingly, I've since traded away some of those players. shrug So now I have no explanation. laughing

Roster Wars Trade Completed

Muskego Muskies gave up Jeffery, Alshon (4yrs) CHI WR and Year 2017 Round 5 Draft Pick from Atlanta Africans
and England Dragons gave up Hill, Tyreek (1yr) KCC WR and Fowler, Dante (3yrs) JAC DE and Year 2017 Round 2 Draft Pick from Titletown Tyrants

Here's hoping he lands on a team with a QB. And doesn't get suspended again.

unsure

Thanks for the trade Jon. I'm excited about Hill and hoping Fowler can add a little more than just depth in his 2nd year removed from ACL. Plus a late 2nd to add another productive player hopefully.

Yeah if one of the pieces was more of a proven commodity I'd be ok with it cos Jeffrey is always going to underpeform imho
However not enough to give him up in that deal methinks

Not impressed by AJ's durability the last 2 years, injured on/off throughout those years scoring 158 and 144pts...trending down. If he's gets in the right situation he could be productive but then he'd still have to stay healthy. The 2nd rd pick is what tipped it for me as there are quite a few players I really like in this years draft. Hope he works out for you Jon I just hope my players work out better.

Goon Squad's 2017 5th round pick

Hey I don't think its a bad deal for Greg, I just don't like the additional picks that he gave up, maybe just one 3rd rounder and it would be an even trade. Landry is on a 2 year contract too so Greg was smart to dispose of him before the dreaded 1 year.

I think Golddiggers won the Gronk trade. I have seen Gronk devalued lately because of all the injuries. Cooks and Mosely are younger and healthier

Ive been watching the YOUNG POPE on HBO and I think I know how to help you Mr Oyster. My door is always open, just make sure to take the narrow path or you might end up in a pit of burning coals. When you get to me I will teach you the fine art of trading and strategies in RFA that will net you players like Richard Sherman for practically nothing.

If Gronk is healthy, he's a beast, but I'm just not sure how many seasons he will be able to beast at with all those injuries piling up. I figured it was better to move on from him a year too early, than a year too late. Happy with the return, especially for my depleted LB core.

I was about 25 drinks in last night so I didn't see this. Good trade for both. Last year I would have said that was a raping for Gronk, but yet another lost season. He may retire in the next 2-3 seasons if he has more injuries.

I think that the trade between Greg and I was very close.  And I only pulled the trigger when we were able to agree on the picks.  Hunter has the potential to be a legitimate stud in the next few years.  Actually, he is already, even with part-time snaps.  If he gets a larger role I see his DE#5 finish as his floor.  And he could be the #1 DE very soon.  Given the uncertainty on the Dolphins and the fact that Landry is volume dependent, I see Landry and Hunter as being close in value.  And Perryman should rebound this coming year.  Nelson has flashed as well and could see increased playing time with Floyd gone, Fitz getting older, and Brown's failure to live up to the hype.

As a Landry owner, I like this deal for Russ too. He is a really good PPR WR.

But, I do think Hunter will be really good too. Plus I have high hopes for Goodson, as he should be manning the middle in NY. As for the picks, they should be alright too.

I was actually just giving Greg a hard time but to me Hunter has done it once - DE is a volatile position
Perryman, Nelson both very unproven despite being in the NFL a while
