Jim is doing well.....from at least the pictures I have seen and the articles I have read.

Was rooting for Ole Miss last night......FSU turned it on and never looked back.

I looked at the replay several times. I have a sneaking feeling he was moving the ball to the other hand, or both hands to raise the ball in the air to do something when he got into the end zone. He was starting to transfer the ball to get ready for something and then.... oops. If I was a head coach, that is where I would blow a gasket. Mad Continue your run and don't plan your celebration before you cross that goal line! Sure they're just kids and they're excited, but dammit, score first!

Everybody nowadays think that crossing the 5 yard line is where you start setting up your TD celebration.

Week 5 in College football....some super games again.

Clemson vs. Louisville   GO CARDS!

Mich vs Wisc  I wonder if State wore out the Badgers or if they will get 2 big wins back to back

Stanford vs. Washington  Both ranked in top 10

Other nice games on but they are not all ranked teams necessarily.

OK State v Texas ends up a close game, maybe not by score but it could be won in the 4th qtr when one team finally pulls away, or will there be a possible come back if one gets pounced on early?

Ga vs Tenn   They always play one another tough

I wonder who will be upset this week?

Really looking forward to seeing if Miami is legit over the next two weeks. GT and FSU will be a good measuring stick.

Being out West, I'll be keeping an eye on Stanford -vs- Washington.  Stanford has been the Pac 12 powerhouse lately.  Washington hired Chris Petersen from Boise St. a few years ago and it appears he's built a solid program in the Northwest.  I think this will be a true test to see where Washington stands.

Three top 10 matchups this weekend. Anybody with any interest in college football this weekend has to be thrilled. My Terps are actually favored in a B10 game this weekend too, so that makes me happy. May be the only time this year. Now, to figure out how to jam as much football watching into this weekend as possible while making it seem like I am being helpful around the house. . .

They definitely earned some respect from me. I thought Wisc was way over-rated. Sure, Michigan should have had another 9 points, but whatever. I'll take it.

Couple of wild endings today. UNC with a 54 yard field goal to beat FSU in Tallahassee and Tennessee stays undefeated with a hail mary against UGA. Watching Clemson/Louisville now and hoping for another close finish.

If the receiver would have just cut it back inside on that 4th down play, he would've probably gotten the first down and quite possibly a TD.

Lazy ass effort. Did that dumb motherfucker not realize it was 4th down? Stay the fuck in bounds and fight for every inch. I feel so bad for the rest of the Cardinals that fought their ass off tonight. Hikutini probably won't be able to walk for the next two days because he played himself out of his legs. Lamar Jackson just balled his ass off. Louisville still got some big ones coming up, they can rebound from this.

If it becomes a Michigan vs Bama playoff game that would be amazing for Harbaugh

This week we have LSU vs Bama.
(of course bama had a bye last week to prepare, as they do for almost every big game)

ND probably loses to Navy because we after 1000 years of playing them we cannot stop the option.

OSU vs Nebraska (could OSU get its 2nd loss of the season here?)

Oddly Georgia vs KY is probably going to be a good game because GA is on a down year.  (who woulda though I ever say that?)

At least one team in the top 10 loses today.  Book it.

2. Ohio State

True, but I would argue that Wisco can beat both of those teams, and came close to both of them. Beat them in the Big10 title game and you're golden.

If Wisconsin goes to the Big 10 Championship Game and beats Ohio State, they get a top 4 spot.

I don't know about that. You'd have a better chance if you beat an undefeated Michigan in the Big Ten Championship Game. In your scenario, you'd end up with Michigan 11-1, Wisconsin 11-2, and Ohio State 11-2. If I'm on the Committee, I pick Michigan for a top 4 spot along with Alabama, Clemson and Washington based on only one loss and a win over Wisconsin. But if it's Michigan you beat in the Championship game then you're in based on split wins and the Big Ten Championship.

Although I would like to see this happen because it would make for great football, I think Ed is right.  You beat OSU you wont get in, you beat MI you have a better chance.  And although I think IF it happens you have more of a chance to knock MI out .....than you do getting in.   I still dont know if MI totally gets knocked out even if you do win.  Wierd I know, but I think the committee wants to see Mi in this year.  There is alot more football to go though..........anything can happen.  I dont mind Wisc at all, I root for them to win most weekends.

I just want to see someone beat Bama-------I DONT CARE who it is.  Tired of them up there all the time.  It is time for a new sheriff to come into town.  Bama is boring football honestly.

I would temper your optimism. The rule isn't that conference champions get automatic bids - it is still determined by a Committee. Will Florida get a top 4 spot if they beat Alabama in the SEC Championship? Don't think so.

I don't think a B10 championship guarantees Wisky a spot, but maybe. Assuming 'Bama wins out (yuck) or even loses one, they get in (if they lose to Auburn, I guess things could get very interesting). One of Clemson/Louisville gets in and assuming Washington wins out, they get in. Do you put a 2 loss Wisky in over 1 loss Michigan? 1 loss OSU? Undefeated Western Michigan (the answer here is probably yet, but there will be a lot of noise) If Auburn beats Alabama and then wins the SEC championship, does either the SEC champ or a one loss Alabama get left out for a 2 loss B10 champ? I doubt it given the love the SEC gets.

Well, given the rankings in the country, those 3 big 10 teams have some love as well. 3 teams in the top 7, and Wisconsins only losers were to two teams in the top 5 and they both came down to the very end of the game. It wouldn't be a shoe in, but it wouldn't be out of the conversation.

You losing to OSU and the Wolverines is the problem if you ask me.  I know you beat Iowa and Nebraska but winning one of OSU or Michigan  woulda been a better feather in your cap for your case.
