PostSubject: College Football   Fri Sep 02, 2016 3:29 pm

I am a huge fan.  Obviously, I love the Irish, but I appreciate good college games overall every week.  Our family has always paid attention.

We have some super games this weekend for opening weekend.

ND vs Texas (Texas is much improved, and going to surprise people this year.  Not in a Tennessee vs App State surprise, they are going to actually win some games.  I just hope not this weekends game.  Which is the first Sunday game ever in college football FYI)

Bama vs USC (Played in Jerry's world stadium in prime time of course)

Clemson vs Auburn

Houston vs Oklahoma

Hawaii vs Michigan (they needed a get us going game and Harbaugh wont disappoint.  Their schedule is set for them to start 6-0 until they get to MSU which they can win against as well)

Georgia vs. UNC  (I root for Georgia a little when they play the big games.)

Monday night is FSU vs Miss ( Looking forward to this one, cause it's NFL after that all the way!)

Who is your team?  Who has a game to talk about I might not have mentioned.  This is a great first weekend, we dont always have this many good games at once to kick it off.

I will be trying to view all or most or some of all the games you mentioned.

USC vs Alabama in Arlington is at the top of my list. So many big names in this one you should pay attention whether you are a fan of either school or not.

Georgia vs UNC is second on the priority list. I won't be rooting against either one of these teams.

Hawaii vs Michigan will be next. Need to see what Hargenius has going on over there at Big Blue.

I am stoked to get some real college ball this weekend!

cheers

#4 LSU @ WI at Lambeau Field. I'm not going to pretend like WI has a chance to win this game, they are always so limited at the QB position but it's football. WI has a 5th year Senior starting this year (Houston) if the game is close in the 3rd qrtr I'll be pretty excited.

Excited to see all the prospects. I predict that Dalvin Cook will be the RB stud of the year.

Locally, my alma mater, Eastern Washington University (2010 champs) travels to Pullman to take on the WSU Cougars.

EWU seems to have been brought back to earth after a nice 6-7 year run. We missed the playoffs last season. I don't see them pulling the surprise here as WSU is vastly improved.

Welcome back football.   metal

Seriously... why is the game at Lambeau instead of Camp Randall???

Watching Oklahoma @ Houston now. Keeping and eye on Perine he looks a really good back. QB for Oklahoma is good too.

Wow as I type the back up RB Mixon with a great play!

WOW....Houston never gave up in this game vs OK.   Perine went down early no doubt but still.......never saw this point difference coming even if Houston pulled it out.  They were the better team on the field today for sure.

Been watching the Texas A&M - UCLA game and it's been a very good 1st half. A fun college game to watch, especially when it's in front of 102,000 fans.

#5 LSU losing 6-0 at the half to unranked Wisconsin (actually ranked about 32nd). May have to tune into that one too.

This game is still going strong  24-24.

Can't believe LSU lost, but so happy for Wisconsin.

GA within 1 entering the 4th quarter. USC starts with a solid drive and FG (barely, as it bounced around the FG poles) on their 1st possession and then stuff Alabama on their first. However, can they hang with Alabama all game?

Congrats Pete on your alma mater's 45-42 upset win! cheers Whenever a smaller conference school beats a Pac-12 school, I call it an upset and a big win for the smaller conference. Great way for them to start off their season. clap

The veggie tray is doable as long as there is lots of ranch dressing.

Fruit bowl sick

But I'd be all over the rest of the food. Give me a plate for the tortilla pinwheels and cheesy potatoes. vote yes

I honestly try to get into CFB but it's just too much for me. There are too many times and the players don't last more than a couple years before they move onto the NFL. It's just all so volatile.

"Texas Is Back Folks"...Freshman QB looked good, defense not so much. It's tough to win in Austin, but looks like Kizer will have the job going forward for ND. Fun game...and at least Carla may have some left-overs, so no cooking on labor day. wink
