PostSubject: Roster Changes- Year to Year   Mon May 23, 2016 2:45 pm

So in the roster size thread, Tom and Russ started talking about "Making the roster yours". So I figured that this could be something cool to look at. New teams post what your team was last year when you took it over, and mainstays post what your team was and what it is today. Of course, everything is a work in progress and tentative, but fun nonetheless. I chose to just go starting roster, since it will be easier to look at with 22 instead of 75 in some cases. Post it up!

Goldson is an NFL free agent laughing
but other than that looks like upgrade at RB, big jump at WR and similar-ish elsewhere

How would you summarize a) your depth vs before and b) future picks available?

Whoops, forgot to switch him out for Jefferson. Done.

My depth is better overall I believe. I have all my picks moving forward except for 3rd and 4th round in 2017.

I'll play (even though I didn't get a new team).  I blew my team up last offseason though.  So this is the difference over a 2 year span.  Week 1 of 2014 on the left, projected Week 1 of 2016 on the right.  Funny enough, I actually traded Marshall away since then, but then traded for him again.

Damn Matt, your team is good. Foles and RG to Brady and Manning. Adding AB and Bell. Your starting roster is awesome.

Oh, and it is open to all, not just newbs.

My roster has changed drastically since I took it over in 2015.  I got WAY younger and better at WR, and with the addition of Gronk, I like the way my offense is setup for this year and the future.  Not to mention my drafting of Carson Wentz!!

My defense is in rebuild mode, but I feel I got some really good talent in this years draft.  So they should be in my starting lineup before too long

2015 Starting Lineup:

Newton, Cam CAR QB
Smith, Alex KCC QB
Charles, Jamaal KCC RB
Helu, Roy OAK RB
Morris, Alfred WAS RB

2016 Starting Lineup:

I guess I should have posted this lineup. This is the lineup before I took over the roster and traded Peyton Manning or Cam Newton

Thanks for picking up on my joke Mark. I think that everyone else missed my joke about Nick's "transormation" although I think that it has now been edited out of the post.

All joking aside, this is a cool idea.  I've only had my team a short time so, other than tossing on some mud flaps and a gigantic trunk spoiler I haven't done much.  Gonna start working on the engine soon.

Sam, just hope that you're not in the TT.  Matt is really tough at the negotiating table.  You start off looking to add a kicker and, the next thing you know, you just traded him Julio for 3 2nds and a 4th.

Yeah I too was wondering how Matt got Brady, Bell, Brown and DTrain without giving up anyone - unless it was mostly future picks
Guessing part of it was selling high on Jimmy G

I did 2014-2016 like Matt
I got hammered in the recent RFA so definitely worse than 2015 in some areas. Getting Dez back and a decent 2nd QB should help tho

A lot of it was picks and WB. My first pick last year was in the 6th. This year in the 3rd. And I don't have a 1st next year, or my 3rd, 5th, or 6th. My 3rds for the next 2 years are also recent acquisitions since I traded those away too. And I've been at the bottom of the WB totem pole the past 2 RFA periods.

A lot of the pieces that I used to upgrade also aren't in either of those lineups because I traded for them and then traded them away within the 2 year span (Julio, Matthews, Mack, Floyd). It's definitely been a fun 'roster transformation.' I'm always open to more trades though! Haven't gotten an offer in a while.......

I would rather have Russell, Jordy and Olsen from your 2014 roster Sty. Not sure I'm overly excited about the guys you are throwing out there now...... I own DeSean and VJax in another league and I am bummed I even have to start them.

I do like the combo of Winston and Mariota. Just wish you could've kept Wilson, he is a top 5 bad ass

Thanks Derrick, do feel good about that side of the ball especially with Rawls, Yeldon, Booker, Floyd, Coates etc. on the bench

I still have work to do clearly but I do feel good about no longer being in the gutter due to the auction blunder of 2012. Now it just comes down to can I continue to climb the mountain or not. I have multiple players who aren't listed above that I feel could be solid contributors until we truly build a solid team throughout.

If friggin Martavis wasn't such a dink we'd be looking even better that's for sure.

No... Frikken Carla and her "if you trade a 8th rounder you have to pay for the whole next year now rule has me broke" so no... I am only telling you the truth buddy! In life if you are on the Starship Enterprise you can get very far with a QB called Kirk. But in Fantasy you better get yourself a real qb if you dont want to finish last! @dropsthemic
