So this trade has received a lot of attention over the past two years in the RW community.  However, given Watt's recent injury history, and Graham's recent lackluster performance, maybe this wasn't an awful case of trape.

4.Minnesota Eternals / Luxembourg MinersTrade

  • Minnesota Eternals gave up Hill, Jeremy CIN RB, McKinnon, Jerick MIN RB, Avril, Cliff SEA DE, Ngata, Haloti BAL DE, Matthews, Clay GBP LB, Newman, Terence CIN CB, Year 2015 Round 1 Draft Pick from Vegas Beach Tiger Sharks;Year 2015 Round 1 Draft Pick from Atlanta Africans
  • Luxembourg Miners gave up Williams, Andre NYG RB, Graham, Jimmy NOS TE, Watt, J.J. HOU DE

  • Comments: This outta work...kept the picks in and got Hill (pains me to deal him)

Tue Oct 7 8:40:06 p.m. CT 2014

Looking back, it appears that the draft picks were 2 of Agholor, Tevin Coleman, and Dorsett.  Of course, contracts come into play here as well but I'm thinking that the Muskies may have gotten the better side of the deal.

That doesn't make it a good trade at the time - no way was this made betting on Watt and Graham getting injuries.
Aside from the fact that Watt basically won games and money on his own the last 2 years

Slightly favor Andy's side since I don't think Dragons fall down.

Never thought it was as bad as many did. At the time, nobody gave Jeremy Hill an ounce of credit and the way people reacted you would have thought no draft picks were in the mix at all. Oh well.

Oaktown Malosos gave up:
Smith, Telvin JAC LB

Minnesota Eternals gave up:
Jernigan, Timmy BAL DE

So what happened here? What was the player you wanted?

Roster Wars Trade

Tarpon Springs RedKnights gave up:
Joseph, Linval MIN DT

Whiskey Creek Gadabouts gave up:
Spence, Noah TBB DE
Year 2017 Round 2 Draft Pick from Titletown Tyrants
Year 2017 Round 4 Draft Pick from Atlanta Africans

I spent 25 WB's to acquire him in RFA (Joseph). Brad spend his 3rd rounder to acquire Spence. Both are on 2 year contracts.

England Dragons gave up
Cutler, Jay CHI QB (Year: 1)
Stills, Kenny MIA WR (Year: 3);
Year 2017 Round 3 Draft Pick from Muskego Muskies;
Year 2017 Round 3 Draft Pick from England Dragons
Las Vegas Degenerates gave up
Osweiler, Brock HOU QB (Year: 1)
Lee, Sean DAL LB (Year: 1)

Good trade for both sides IMO. If Lee can stay healthy, he'll help Jon this year; but getting the picks + Stills seems like it it'll be good for Rob too.

I'd give a slight lean to Rob's side here by getting the picks + a young WR who doesn't completely blow chunks - especially if Parker isn't as good as some think.

Pretty even to me. I am not a huge fan of either QB, and with all players being on 1 year deals it is a wash to me.

Las Vegas Degenerates gave up
Ferguson, Josh IND RB (Year: 3)
Marshall, Brandon NYJ WR (Year: 1)

Littleton SilverBallers gave up
Dixon, Kenneth BAL RB (Year: 4)

I like this move for both sides. Rob gets the RB he likes and I get one of my favorite WRs to add to my fucking awesome Corp.

Who knows with Ferguson? Maybe he will take over for Gore next year...

Just like Sankey was supposed to be for the Titans. Or Richardson for the Browns. Or even Ball for the Broncos?

RBs are overrated and their futures are very unpredictable. Give me a proven player over a wait and see dude.

I know, but if you hit on a player that passes the eye test and he has a good contract, it's gold. I think you get Marshall for the next 10 games and then you watch him sit in a chair on CBS next year.

As you can see by my roster, I absolutely hate RBs! So if Ferguson gets cut, then I get those years back.

Same with Dixon, you have no idea if he is the real deal or not. He could be the next bust RB and I'm stuck with 4 year deal if the Ravens don't cut him. Ferguson was a undrafted FA so he will be cut if he doesn't succeed.

Agreed about Dixon but even if he busts this year some owner will still be willing to gamble on him. Even if just to take him for free.

That's all I needed him for was this year. I felt I needed just 1 more solid WR and it would make me feel more confident every week.

As for the RB. We only need to start one and that's what I'll have next year in Jones. You will probably never see my team with more than 4 RBs rostered. I don't want them and don't need them with the WRs I have now and in the future. I can always find a Christine Michael or somebody next year on the market, so I felt I didn't lose a thing

Apparently I made a trade...
Didn't realize it cos (as Andy pointed out) MFL has changed the wording on their trade emails laughing

Sty got
receive Purcell, Mike SFO DT and
Year 2017 Round 2 Draft Pick from Las Vegas Degenerates and
Year 2018 Round 2 Draft Pick from Titletown Tyrants and
Year 2018 Round 6 Draft Pick from Atlanta Africans
I got
and receive Wilkerson, Muhammad NYJ DE

Tough to give up 2.01 but in the end top 5 DEs are very hard to come by so he seemed like a good building block

Decent deal. I think I prefer Sty's side of the deal a bit. Two 2nd's is a decent price, especially the 13-14 overall.

Well Ian has like 4 1st rounders next draft so he could afford it. It benefits both of us, with the emergence of Deforest Buckner I was ok losing Muhammad even if he lands in a better situation next season.

Sty always blazing that trail. Good thing b/c I'm sure Nick will come after him if you just franchise tag him. Nick seems to like those San Fran DT. Purcell's play has pushed out Ian "who would pay a shit ton of RFA dollars for me" Williams.

Question is why is Ian assuming he will have the 2.01? Is he conceding that he is going to be pink? Goodness sakes. You may go on a 5 game winning streak. It could happen. All five of your next opponents could forget to turn in lineups each week.

Twinklebutt. He is not assuming that at all. He gave me Las Vegas Degenerates 2nd rounder and at this point he is our last place team which puts him at 2.1. Could things change? yes but just wanted to clarify that it is not Ian assuming that he will finish last.

I actually love LaFell in that offense, he's a good number 2 WR. Dorsett is a player I love too and have had high hopes for. He didn't do it when Moncreif was gone, frustrating.

I still can't believe Dorsett is a pile of shit in that offense. I'm still holding out hope, he's still young, I could definately see dumping a 6 yr contract though. That being said I think Dorsett has a higher ceiling than LaFell though.
