That deal seems pretty even to me but I'm a bird in hand (Morris) kind of guy so I like Bob's side as well, even though I am not in love with Morris.

Decatur Freakshow gave up
Blackmon, Justin JAC WR;
Year 2017 Round 1 Draft Pick from Decatur Freakshow;
Year 2018 Round 1 Draft Pick from Decatur Freakshow

Morrison Minions gave up
Watkins, Sammy BUF WR

Big THANKS to Bob for being the only person in TT to counter a trade offer.

And now... my team officially sucks laughing

Blackmon is a boat anchor IMO so a 17/18 1st for Watkins and losing some contract years seems like a win in my book.

Dont be so sure, Bob is much improved and a capable owner. The deal was fair for both sides but I like Bob's side a little more.

I would be willing to bet that at least that 2016 pick will be in the first half (1-6) of the draft

I'm taking Bob's side on this one. I think if you are rebuilding, Watkins is the kind of guy you build around but that's just me...

So I'm looking back on the trades I did at the end of last year, and it really does suck.

I Give:

Haloti Ngata - Meh
Jermaine Gresham - Meh
D'Quell Jackson - SOLID LB
Aldon Smith - Who the fuck knows?
Slings 2015 1st (1.10)
CCS 2015 2nd (2.12)
Bombers 2015 5th - Meh
Mohawk 2016 2nd - Yeesh

I Get:

Matt Forte - was on a 1 year deal will extend
Carlos Dansby - was on a 1 year deal won't retain
Justin Forsett - was on a 1 year deal won't retain
K.J. Wright - was on a 1 year deal won't retain
Aqib Talib - was on a 1 year deal won't retain
Clay Mathews - was on a 1 year deal won't retain
Kelvin Sheppard - was on a 1 year deal won't retain

It would have been okay if I won the whole thing, but I didn't. I fell short. What a shitty set of trades.

I break that down as

a decent LB
a late 1st
a late 2nd
a future 2nd

for forte for a couple years
and a chance at a title

could have been worse

The Watkins trade is dependent on the Bills getting a good QB. Watkin's production depends heavily on it.

Really twinklebreath? How about Mike Evans? was his production hurt by having McCown throw him the balls? Exactly...

And not to mention the fact that those picks are 2 and 3 years away. Andrew Luck could be throwing to Watkins by then. Unlikely but things change pretty quick around these parts.

I think it was a good trade for both Bob and Shawn. Shawn got the picks he really wants and Bob got a decent WR. Shawn's team may duck this year, but if he hits on all those upcoming picks, watch out

Yup Jon wins. At first I thought he might have over did it with the picks but picks are prospects, Preston is $$$.

With all these trades I could see Jon finishing second in the division after me.

I can only hope, Sty... wink

And wins again? Everyone has been telling me I'm getting hosed in all these trades. scratch Chris did very well out of Brown considering he was a 6th round pick last year. Chris does good with the LB's. Knowledge.

Anyone else up for trading?

waiting

Well ideally I would like to trade my worst players and late picks for awesome players and early picks.

If that doesn't work out I'm still open for some negotiating

Holy Crap! I just fell asleep after many sleepless nights and my laptop was nearby so while checking some emails I noticed "ROSTER WARS TRADE" and it said Roddy flucken White traded for 50 wb's and he is only on a one year contract!!! Thank God it was only a dream cause I wouldn't pay 5 WB's for that bum!

I must be a dummy because I thought about it for an hour or so before accepting. I think White's going to have a big year. But yeah, I got tags to hand out, so I'll take the cash.

Really? I would have thought that'd be a no brainer. My first inclination was that Shawn meant to write to 05 and has dyslexia.

Just posting this cause I'm pissed it happened so quickly. Noticed Luiget added to trade bait and went to craft an offer. Realized he was gone, then saw the trade notification. Not in love with Luiget or anything, but a cheap starter. Damn you, Jon! The early bird...

I was happy with the deal, but I'll tell you, go look back at the the players drafted in the 3rd round these past couple of years - it's about an 80% success rate. These 3rd rounders carry some value.

Last year's DD draft 3rd round had Mason, Kelvin Benjamin, Adams, Moncrief, Crowell, Kirksey, Telvin Smith, Clinton-Dix, Barr. The only misses were Pryor, Clowney and Paul Richardson who all might be fine. 2013 is almost as good.

There's some value there. But yes, I like Liuget and he completes the DE overhaul. All 2014 starters gone, Dunlap and Liuget in. And I only have a couple of players on 1yr contracts so have room to tag him next year if he proves worth it.
