Just in case you cunts forgot.  Since I don't have any offers in my inbox I assumed you all must have.  Who will be the first trade of 2015?!

The only downside for me is that spending any real time on looking at trades comes at the expense of the other stuff I need to do around here. That's alright though but I would normally look at every team at least 5 times per week looking to deal. I should set some 1-2 hour window a week to just worry about my team and do just that.

Welcome new guy to the league! as you can see trades can happen pretty quick when both parties are not trying to screw each other. Hope we have many more trades between us.

2. Florida Chaetomorpha / Littleton Silverballers Trade
Florida Chaetomorpha gave up Year 2015 Round 2 Draft Pick from Luxembourg Miners

Ill take the 2nd. ASJ depends on who the qb is and how fast he develops (assuming its mariota or winston), and if the offense favors a te.

Fair deal, I think Derrick just about got the better end of it. ASJ went at 2.12 in the 2014 DD draft so to get a 2.03 for him when he has done little to suggest his value has improved is good work.

Equally Sty was happy to pay for his upside and TE's in their rookie years are generally shite anyway.

I like the deal for both of us, but a litter more for my side.  I feel a high 2nd for a still unproven TE is a good deal.  If it was a late 2nd I think Sty would have got the better end of the deal.

But it all depends on who I draft if the trade favors one team or the other.

Ya I agree its a big gamble for me so Derrick wins this one as this years crop has some great value and 2.3 is a great pick.
I also agree that ASJ did not have a stellar performance this year but having a 5 year contract was a huge factor why I wanted him. I think he will develop into a decent TE that can be used if the matchup is favorable and it was a matter of do I take a gamble on a high second round QB RB WR who will probably need a little time to mature/learn or do I put some faith in a TE that looked like shieet but also had no coaching and poor qb'ing his first year.

It was a trade that benefitted both teams and that is my favorite way to trade.

Now to Derricks second trade!

Roster Wars Trade

England Dragons gave up:
Ponder, Christian MIN QB
Jones, Jacoby BAL WR
Marshall, Brandon CHI WR
White, Roddy ATL WR
Burley, Marcus SEA CB
Hall, Leon CIN CB
Year 2015 Round 3 Draft Pick from Las Vegas Degenerates
Year 2016 Round 3 Draft Pick from England Dragons

Vegas Beach Tiger Sharks gave up:
Edelman, Julian NEP WR
Moncrief, Donte IND WR

I think that Jon did a bit better here. Moncrief has potential to be very good and has Luck. It was a fair trade that I could see go either way though, those 2 third round picks were nice for Derrick to build his team.

Yeah I'm one of the crazy guys who likes the old guys, but only the good ones.  I am a huge Marshall and White fan so I like the deal I made for them.  I think White will still be a WR2 next year and Marshall will still be a very low WR1 high WR2.  Marshalls value I guess all depends on what happens in Chicago, but I still think he will be productive in any situation.

I agree that Moncrief could be really good because he has Luck throwing him the ball.  But, I still consider him unproven and he is still a risk/reward type of player.  That is, until we see how he does with an increased workload in 2015.

I also like the picks as well.  But, like I said in my last trade, it all depends on who I draft.  A trade can look really one sided if you bust on a pick you acquired in a trade.  So I got to make sure I get the best available, and not get a bum

I think it's pretty even. I Lost the best player in the deal (Marshall) and took the biggest chance with Moncrief. But both Roddy and Marshall only had a year left and whilst I think they will both play to their current level for another 3-5 years, the move saved me worrying about extending contracts with Edelman and Moncrief both on longer deals.

Derrick is good to deal with - a welcome addition!

Hey guys.

I do truly believe if you send a trade offer, it's rejected and a counter offered, at least when it's rejected, give a damn reason. It's only common courtesy. I don't want to flood someone with counters if the player just isn't available. If he is, then set a price.

Do something, especially when YOU started the trade.

I agree. One of my pet peeves is when someone doesn't respond to a trade, letting you know why they rejected it.  It just takes a couple extra seconds to explain why they didn't accept the offer.  So far that doesn't seem to be the case in this league  vote yes

I dont get it twinklebreath... I mean obvioulsy I get that Dez was what a 1 year contract? I wish you would have listed the contracts for us geez... Anyway my thinking is you are hoping to get enough WB's to get some of those 1 year guys back from Andy who is hurting in the wb department? I dont know who I like best though. I would have to look at contracts first.

Yeah, Dez's contract expires this off season so it was 100WB's for me to keep him. No point FT'ing him as I got more this way so it was trade him now or SFT.

No particular RFA targets at this stage, but 2 solid skill players, the 1.06 this year, a 3rd next and effectively 115WB's added to my balance as I probably won't use the SFT now. The 1yr players I traded Andy were dumps to balance the cap situation - nothing more.

Dez has been listed on my bait - the only player I listed - since trading opened so there for all to see with a comment about his contract situation...

Sounds like you missed the moonbus ?

Interesting - I appear to stand alone on contract value.

The good news for DD is that's 3 trades on the bounce I've lost on now - people should be knocking my door down with offers.

The whole roster is available if I like the deal... hit me up.

This trade is all about how you feel Bowman will come back from his injury. And if he does come back strong how long will it last. I'm really weak at WR and I really like Decker especially if he has a decent QB throwing to him. If Bowman comes back like the Bowman of 2013 than Jon is that much stronger. He's so deep at LB that he could afford to take a chance

I'm really glad I got got Benjamin. Other than Beckham, he is my favorite rookie WR.  So pretty much I gave up ASJ (2nd round pick), Michael and Patterson for Riley and Benjamin.  Pretty good considering I'm not on the Michael hype train and Patterson isn't really that good.  Benjamin is the clear cut #1 in Carolina, so that gives me a legit young WR for next year.

Plus Ian got his Beast mode handcuff, so that works more in his favor than mine.
