PostSubject: Re: Norfolk Bombers Press Room   Wed May 23, 2012 2:24 pm

Overall strategy
1. What was your initial approach going into the Auction Draft?
I set a range on how much I wanted to spend by position. I kind of decided where I wanted to be strong and where to punt.
2. Did you end up sticking to your initial draft strategy?
For the most part, yes. When Def started going for a lot more than my budget I had to make some adjustments.
3. How did you divide your spending on Offense and Defense? Any additional strategies here?
Heavy in favor of Offensive. Def for the most part is easier to find on the WW. Go look at TT ww and one will see the top is ALL def…
4. Any observations about the other owner’s approaches in the Auction Draft? (Good, Bad, Ugly, Surprising)
Not really. I have done enough of these to know that if you have 24 owners you will have 24 different strats to the auction.
5. What was your biggest “oh shit” moment of the draft?
When I relized I was getting Rodgers for $150. The real “oh shit” part was that TT was not going the way of DD at all.

Reflecting on your spending
6. How did the Auction go compared to your expectations and your previous experiences?
Again, I did not think the Def studs would go that high, we will see if they hold any value later.
7. How happy are you with how you drafted? Where do you think you overspent?
I am very happy with my draft. I might have spent too much on megatron, but I really wanted him.
8. Was there a player you missed out on and thought you would own before the draft?
Not that I really wanted him bad, but I thought I would chase Tannehill more. I was just broke by the time he went up.
9. Who was the one guy on your team that you couldn’t live without and had to have on your team?
I really wanted Calvin Johnson.
10. Who was, in your opinion, the greatest steal on your team?
Not sure I really got one. I seemed to pay full price for everyone.

Assessing your squad
11. What draft grade would you give yourself (A, B, C, or D)?
B+, got everything I set out to get for the most part
12. What are your overall thoughts on your team?
I like it a lot. Solid at the tuff to fill spots and landed just enough stars at the others.
13. Who are the 3 key players to your franchise?
Rodgers, Megatron, and Cutler.
14. What do you perceive to be your team’s greatest weakness?
TE, they were just too expensive for me even in this format.
15. What is the best (most Depth) position on your team?
I love how I am set up at RB- Bush, DWill, and Martin should be solid this year. And I am a big believer in Miller. With Dexter coming off the bench I think I am in good shape.
16. What are 3 things to watch for, out of your team in 2012?
Injuries, I have to avoid them. How well I fare during the bye weeks. And finally Injuries, I have to avoid them!
17. What record would you predict for your team for 2012?
9-3
18. What record would you predict for your team in the year 2015?
9-3

Dealing with the competition
19. Which other team was the biggest pain in your ass?
None really. However, it was a pain wathching all those cheap skates get everyone at the end… 
20. Who was your MVP (Best Pick) of the draft?
Bush
21. Who do you feel has the strongest team right now?
I think the Dragons have a very strong team tops in DD by far.
