My guess is that they work Rawls in slowly and that if they take the lead, as expected, CMike gets the majority of the carries.

I already have him in my lineup. Only because Gronk's vagina is hurting!!

I hope he doesn't let me down, like he's done to so many owners in years past

There has to be a back story on this one.  I was starting to get down on Alex Collins but it might be time to pick up a few more shares of him.

Rawls must finally be healthy and they must like what they see from Prosise

This probably had a lot to do with it, but given his history, I wonder if there is something else going on. If not, I wonder if he gets picked up for a stretch run by a team with RB issues. Minnesota? NYG? GB?

Prosise played quite a few snaps this past game and looked pretty good, especially in the passing game (which is his strength as we all should know)... I think we will see a Rawls and Prosise tandem moving forward...

Don't really know what that means for Collins, I think he is still the odd man out and the clear #3 guy right now, but he shouldn't be any worse than CMike if called upon.

Other than a couple games where Michael overachieved, he has been pretty average to below average even... He is what we thought he was... a below replacement level talent who is a 3rd or 4th string backup at best...

Yep, very little competition. I think the Montgomery experiment is dwindling. Starks is not a starting RB, rather more of a complimentary one.

I think Michael has definitely proven he is not a starting RB either...

Well he had a decent little run at the beginning of the season, and the Packers don't ride a RB hard. The sad thing is he's probably better than what we have at the moment.

Quote :
The Patriots, who placed the rare May 9 tender on LeGarrette Blount Wednesday, brought Michael in for a visit Tuesday. It's been a busy offseason for the Patriots and running backs. They appear to be stockpiling a vast amount of depth at the position. From a fantasy football perspective, Michael signing with New England is a nightmare for all parties involved, except for the Patriots. Although Blount is still expected to sign elsewhere, Michael would be a part of a crowded depth chart that already includes James White, Rex Burkhead, Dion Lewis and Mike Gillislee, upon signing with New England. He would be a better fit with a club with less depth and would certainly see more playing time as well.

Analysis: ESPN's Field Yates is reporting free agent running back Christine Michael visited with the New England Patriots on Tuesday.

Are people still holding out hope for this guy?

I feel like he still could be a valuable 1st and 2nd down guy. Had solid production (below) through week 8 last season.

With Gore turning like 80 years old this year; and really only Turbin to deal with...may not be such a bad landing.  Cool

Turbin took the backup job away from Michael a few years ago in Seattle. Now with Mack and Ferguson in the mix, I can't see him getting any higher than 3rd string.

...and Turbin proceeded to do nothing.  Michael had some decent spot starts last season, and may be a better "pounder" than any of the other fodder behind Gore...Colt's better pray he stays healthy.

While Michael was on the Packers one thing made an impression on me. That motherfucker has 1 speed... Full tilt... running hard is an understatement. With the Packers RB situation last year I thought he should have gotten the ball more. I wouldn't want to rely on him as my bell cow back but I'd be ok with him as a 2nd or 3rd option.

Colts running attack has been, until Gore came along, has been by committee....the last 1000 yard rusher was Addai in 2007....from 2002 to 2007 James was at or above 1000 yards.
Unless Gore gets injured, or just stops producing, not seeing Michael having much impact

I totally agree. He hits the hole fast. He is the anti LBell. Would like to see a little more of a mix.

Musta dislocated a finger inking the deal. How in the hell do you get placed on I.R in June exactly? The season don't start for like 80 days. Is he out for the year, already? Not sure I ever saw a guy placed on I.R. in June before.

Yep, he got placed on season ending IR after "going down" at a minicamp practice. Sounds like he pulled a Bridgewater.
