Quote :
The Green Bay Press-Gazette suggests DuJuan Harris is "perhaps the best bet" among the players currently on the roster to open next season as the starting tailback. Analysis: We wouldn't bet heavily on it. The Press-Gazette concedes the Packers will have to decide if Harris has the size to be the primary back or if he's better suited to the change-of-pace role. Although Alex Green is talking as if he will a major role in 2013, the local papers believe James Starks' roster spot is far from safe at $1.3 million.

They really need a real running back.  I doubt anyone currently on the roster is the answer.

And Lacy's value skyrockets...

Packers placed RB DuJuan Harris (knee) on injured reserve, ending his season.

Coach Mike McCarthy made the announcement Tuesday. He didn't rule out the possibility of making Harris the Packers' injured reserve/designated for return player, but that's unlikely. Harris injured his right knee twice over the course of OTAs and the preseason, and likely needs surgery. Eddie Lacy will open the season as Green Bay's clear-cut lead back, and possibly operate as an every-down back. His fantasy value is soaring. Alex Green, Johnathan Franklin, and James Starks round out the depth chart, probably in that order.

Was there ever any doubt? You thought DuJaun Harris would keep their two early-round draft picks on the bench? lol

It could be coach speak, but it appears that McCarthy really likes Harris as a player, and really did have big plans for him in this offense... I don't get it either...

But either way, it is Eddie Lacy's time to shine!!!!

Vikings signed RB DuJuan Harris, formerly of the Packers, to a one-year contract.

A restricted free agent, Harris wasn't tendered a contract by the Pack. An MJD-esque 5-foot-8, 203 pounds, Harris has always offered bowling-ball appeal as a change-of-pace back, but has had trouble with injuries. Especially if the Vikings keep Adrian Peterson, Harris is going to have a hard time cracking Minnesota's crowded backfield.

I am amazed at how often Packer players end up in Minnesota.

He barely played as a Packer last year. If ADP returns he will be used to riding the pine.

You think they'd learn by now that playing with our scraps doesn't make them a good team. It doesn't really matter who they have, if Bridgewater is the real deal they'll win games.
