According to the Cardinals' official website, running back Beanie Wells (knee) will make his 2012 preseason debut Thursday against Tennessee. Analysis: Arizona coach Ken Whisenhunt said "there's no concern with him at all with his health," but fantasy owners can't say the same.

I think he has a lot of talent and if he's healthy will have a great year. He does have some competition though.

Hey as long as he puts up the numbers he did last year or even a little better you can call him whatever you want.

sorry guys I've had a lot going on lately. So poking at me wont be too much fun in the near future. At least not until football season starts. All Im going to say is this

McCoy
Murray
BJGE
KSmith
Beanie

I will take Beanie as my RB4-5 anyday of the week. I still think he isnt getting enough love.

Updating a previous report, Arizona Cardinals RB Beanie Wells (hamstring) was limited during practice Friday, Sept. 7. He is listed as questionable for Week 1.

Shocker here.

Wells (knee) practiced fully Wednesday, the Cardinals' official site reports. Analysis: With Ryan Williams (knee) listed as a limited participant in practice, Wells could take on more of the load if in fact Williams sits out Sunday versus Philadelphia. We'll be more aware of the Cardinals' running back situation as the week progresses.

I still wish that Powell would get a shot.

Vince.... I could be wrong but I thougt we said he could be moved to IR, but if he does return in X weeks, you have to adjust your roster to account for him. Someone correct me if I'm remembering that wrong

Beanie Wells (turf toe) insists there's "no doubt" he will play versus the Rams when eligible to return from injured reserve in Week 12. Analysis: Per NFL rules for the new I.R. exception, Wells is permitted to resume practicing on Wednesday. The Cardinals are on bye this week, so La'Rod Stephens-Howling and his 2.7 YPC average have just one more game at Atlanta as the featured back. Although Beanie has a grueling fantasy playoff schedule (SEA, DET, CHI, SF), he should be plucked from the waiver wire this week.

If he can come back and play healthy then I wouldn't be surprised to see him help a lot of teams in the playoffs.

Cardinals informed RB Beanie Wells of his release.

Wells is only 24 and has never lacked for talent, but it's telling that the Cardinals cut him despite an affordable $1,407,500 base salary. Beanie is completely inept in the passing game and new coach Bruce Arians is a pass-first mind. The 31st overall pick in the 2009 draft, Wells' four-year Arizona career ends with one season of 200-plus carries, seemingly countless "nagging" injuries, and a pedestrian 4.0 YPC average. Wells will get another chance, but he's just another "guy" in a middling group of free-agent running backs.

Ryan Williams time or are they bringing someone in?

I'm sure they'll try Williams and he'll fail. Not a believer.

Ryan Williams has the talent to be the guy, the question is whether he can stay healthy or not. I question that about him too, but I think highly enough of his talent that I traded for him to take a chance. He will only be 23 coming into this next season. Totally a high risk, high reward guy, no doubt!

Oh, and Beanie Wells sucks!!

The Bengals hosted free agent Beanie Wells on Tuesday. Analysis: Per Yahoo's Mike Silver, Wells is "apparently exploring other options" now. The Steelers are also rumored to have some interest. The Bengals have also "poked around" Reggie Bush and Rashard Mendenhall. Per Silver, Bush is "too expensive" despite Cincy's untapped salary cap wad and Mendenhall is "being wooed aggressively" by the Dolphins. (In addition to the Broncos and Cardinals.)

If he could stay healthy I can't imagine that he'd have a hard time displacing Law Firm.

According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Beanie Wells' knee situation is bad enough that it "would be a risk for the Steelers to sign him." Analysis: Wells' market has gone dead silent since his calamitous Steelers physical, and casts doubt on his ability to get a deal any time soon. Wells will either have to be willing to settle for no guaranteed money, or wait to resume visiting teams until he can prove he's healthy. With both the Steelers and Cardinals giving a vote of no confidence to Wells' knee, he could have trouble getting a contract before camp.

So much for that.

Wait... if his knee is indeed that bad, I thought teams couldn't cut him without some type of injury settlement blah blah blah?

What was in the "calamitous" Steelers report? degenerative? I can't find anything online?

The Steelers brought in former Arizona running back Beanie Wells Friday and he passed his physical. However, his knee injury is bad enough that it would be a risk for the Steelers to sign him.

I guess passing a physical doesn't mean that you're healthy enough to play football.

The Jaguars will work out free agent RB Beanie Wells Thursday afternoon. Analysis: The Steelers and Bengals showed interest in Wells back in March, but labeled his knee and toe issues as red flags. Now the Jags will check on his status. If healthy, Wells would be a low-cost signing for a player that won't turn 25 until August and possesses a first-round skill set. Maurice Jones-Drew's Lisfranc injury still isn't healed and he's entering the final year of his contract. Justin Forsett and Denard Robinson are penciled in as the backups.

It would make sense since they really have nobody besides MJD.
