Oakland Raiders WR Jacoby Ford (ankle) left the preseason game Friday, Aug. 17, against the Arizona Cardinals due to an ankle injury. After being treated in the locker room, he was out of uniform, with crutches at his side, after returning to the sideline.

Ford is such a talented guy and he and Palmer were getting a good connection. Raiders are done which makes me happy

Raiders coach Dennis Allen said Sunday that Jacoby Ford's sprained foot has no structural damage and no swelling.

Analysis: Although it's to the same foot that Ford sprained last season, costing him eight games, all signs point to a less severe injury this time around. Allen still wouldn't rule out the possibility of Ford missing some regular season action.

Still not getting my hopes up with this guy.

That whole WR core seems like a revolving injury

Raiders WR/KR Jacoby Ford (foot) has shed his walking boot. Analysis: The Raiders are hoping to have Ford available for Week 1, and this is a step in the right direction. With Rod Steater pushing for snaps, however, Ford is undraftable outside of return-yardage leagues.

*sigh*

Rod Steater is the guy that is overlooked .. looking to take snaps from Ford and the rest of the crew.

Ford (foot) still has not been cleared to run, Steve Corkran of the Contra Costa Times reports. Analysis: Raiders coach Dennis Allen said Ford's making progress, but he'll need to make significant progress in the next week in order to have any chance of playing in Monday's opener.

Going to end up on the pine as the Raiders move to Streater.

Oakland receiver Jacoby Ford won't suit up for Monday night's season opener against the Chargers. Ford has been out since mid-August with a sprained foot. Analysis: Ford has never tallied more than 470 yards in a season so don't expect him to have much of an impact in fantasy upon his return.

Raiders WR/KR Jacoby Ford will undergo surgery to repair his injured foot.

Coach Dennis Allen expects Ford to miss a "significant" amount of time. We first became concerned for Ford's early-season availability when he acknowledged that the injury is essentially a repeat of the one that sidelined him for six games at mid-season a year ago. Rookie Rod Streater will continue to have a major role in the passing attack after playing five snaps more than Darrius Heyward-Bey in the opener.

You better clean up those fumble issues Mr. Streater because you are up

Oakland Raiders WR Jacoby Ford (foot) is undergoing surgery on the same foot that caused him to miss significant time last season. "It's really basically the same injury that he had last year," head coach Dennis Allen said. "When he re-injured it this season there was nothing new structurally different from where it was last year." Ford could be placed on the Injured Reserve and designated to return after six weeks.

I knew it was the same foot but I didn't realize it was the EXACT same injury in the exact same place. Not good.

Wide receiver Jacoby Ford underwent successful surgery Wednesday to repair the injured Lisfranc joint in his left foot, but there is no timetable for his return, and no decision has been made on whether he'll land on injured reserve -- short-term or long -- Raiders coach Dennis Allen said.

Ford missed six games last year with what was described as a sprained left foot. There had been no mention of a Lisfranc injury last year or this year until Wednesday. That's the same injury that cost running back Darren McFadden nine games last season.

“As I understand it, anyway, it's the Lisfranc that he had last year. It's the same exact injury,” Allen said. “They expected it to get better, and it didn't get better, or at least it wasn't good enough for him to do that job that he's going to have to do. We all felt like surgery was the best option.”

Ford was injured on Aug. 17 during a preseason game at Arizona.

Allen said he expects to make a decision about whether Ford will go on some form of injured reserve “pretty soon.”

REALLY bad news for Ford and the Raiders. No way he doesn't land on IR.

Injured Raiders WR and return man Jacoby Ford's season is all but officially over.

“We haven't done anything yet, but there's probably a strong possibility that he'll go to IR,” coach Dennis Allen said Thursday after practice.

That would be season-ending injured reserve, not the new short-term IR that would allow Ford to return later in the season.

Ford underwent surgery Tuesday to repair the Lisfranc joint in his left foot and faces a lengthy recovery. He injured the foot Aug. 17 during a preseason game at Arizona. Last season, he missed six games after injuring his left foot in a Week 10 game against San Diego. He did not undergo surgery for that Lisfranc injury.

Raiders placed WR/KR Jacoby Ford (foot) on season-ending injured reserve. Analysis: Ford underwent surgery on Wednesday to repair a Lisfranc injury to his left foot, and head coach Dennis Allen hinted that Ford's season could be over on Thursday. This move was fully expected after hearing the dreaded "Lisfranc" come up. Ford suffered the exact same injury in the 2011 season and it's turning out to be a major issue for his development. Rookie Rod Streater will continue to have a large role in Oakland's offense in 2012.

(TheHuddle) Oakland Raiders WR Jacoby Ford did not participate in organized team activities Monday, June 3. Ford injured his hamstring during practice last week.

can we be done with this little experiment now?

Hey when McFadden had a lisfranc, he could play every week - see what a tuff SOB he is sarcasm

This lisfranc is putting the equally tough Jacoby Ford out for the year. Dmac = toughguy

Oakland Raiders WR Jacoby Ford suffered an unspecified injury during practice Sunday, July 28 and had to leave. No further details were available about Ford's status. Analysis: It's a common refrain for the oft-injured Ford. We'll see if/when he gets back on the field and what that means in his battle with Denarius Moore and Rod Streater for spots in the Oakland passing game.

It never ends with this guy. shrug

(Rotoworld)Jacoby Ford has been "hampered" by a strained knee over the past two weeks, and aggravated the injury on Wednesday.

Analysis: So it goes for the injury-prone wideout, who has as much trouble staying on the field as any player in the league. CSN Bay Area reported on Monday that Ford "looks as agile as ever," but it's now unclear if he'll suit up for Friday's preseason game against the Cowboys. Ford has zero fantasy upside.

"...zero fantasy upside" ??? All this guy has is upside. He's at absolute rock bottom where he's been for years now.

He definitely has upside... he is fast and has good hands on a team that will constantly being playing from behind and throwing it out of necessity. Being injured doesn't offset his upside but it really puts a drain on his fantasy value!

Ford is a candidate to replace Josh Cribbs in the Jets' return game, ESPN's Rich Cimini reports. Analysis: While the report suggests that Ford probably isn't in the Jets' starting wideout discussion at this stage, when healthy, he has excellent speed and it's worth noting that Ford has taken four kickoffs in for TDs over his NFL career.
