Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said RB James Starks (toe) is considered week-to-week with turf toe.

And I HATE Benson too. I thought this would be Starks year. He is my RB3/4 in a ton of leagues. I guess I have to count on some one else. Crying or Very sad

They wouldn't have brought in Benson if Saine or Green were the answer.

Disagree Jason, I just don't think they are convinced Green is quite physically ready yet. ACL was mid season. I think Benson is just filler until they are convinced on Green.

I think that the Packers dont run the ball much (and dont plan too) anyways so none of this really too significant.

Green Bay running back James Starks (turf toe) could return in Week 3, according to Tyler Dunne of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, and Packers coach Mike McCarthy said Starks, "could be a part of the plan."

Analysis: If Cedric Benson has another poor performance it could open the door for Starks to re-acquire a significant role on the team, but he's better left on the free agent wire right now.

Starks worked with the first-team offense at Tuesday's practice, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Analysis: It's far too early to declare Starks the front-runner for the starting running back job, especially considering his injury history and the number of other options on the roster, but the first-team reps he received do indicate the Packers will give him a chance to earn the role during training camp.

If he somehow ends up the lead dog and Lacy and Franklin ride the pine...

Hilarious.

It's still a competition to become the tallest midget, under 4 feet tall and weighing less than 45 pounds while still being strong enough to milk a cow using his armpit...

Alright, that was just weird.

But in reality, whoever wins the starting job will be a decent fantasy RB, but will never be a work horse or a top RB. Green Bay has Aaron Rodgers... He will always throw the ball at least 65% of the offensive snaps... ALWAYS... And you can't blame them... They have Aaron Rodgers. Running the ball more would be a disservice to that team.
