I have been surprised to see how high has been on so many draft lists.  Sure, NO made a beast out of Sproles by using him properly for once and they will probably to try to make good use of Spiller as well.  But I'm not sure he'll let them.

He's the best RB on the roster right now. He's worth a late flyer and in most cases you can prolly get him cheap in a trade right now.

Spiller hasn't had a good year since like 2009.

Spiller is a big play RB who isn't consistent or healthy... I would rather have Ingram, he is going to do the heavy lifting running the ball. If Spiller gets healthy (and stays healthy) he is going to be a 3rd down gadget play guy... I can't see the Saints giving him a majority of the touches, he would never hold up physically!

Like I said, a 3rd down gadget play guy, a la Darren Sproles... certainly doesn't make him the best RB on the team... But none of it matters if he can't stay healthy which has proven to be exceedingly difficult for this china doll...

My team is starting to drive me crazy. I can't find anyone to run or catch the ball.

Ingram is the best RB on the team, not china doll Spiller.

I agree.  Spiller will be ok, but Ingram should be the workhorse back.

Quote :
New Orleans Saints RB C.J. Spiller was a healthy scratch in Week 1, according to head coach Sean Payton, who also stated RB Travaris Cadet was going to have a bigger role on offense and rookie Daniel Lasco was going to contribute more on special teams.

Finally we may be nearing the end of CJ Spiller. The great RB that never was.

It's over...in NO anyway.

Saints released RB C.J. Spiller.
Signed to a "four-year, $16 million" deal in March 2015, the writing has been on the wall for Spiller in New Orleans since pretty much his first game. Brutally ineffective and in the doghouse last season, Spiller got showcased for a trade this summer before being a healthy scratch for Week 1. He simply never meshed with coach Sean Payton and Drew Brees' offense. Spiller is an on-paper home run hitter, but now 29 with just 776 yards from scrimmage over the past two seasons. He'll get another chance, but will be on a short leash.

Really hope nobody picks him up. Or if they do it's for practice squad work.

New Chiefs RB C.J. Spiller says he feels the best he has in years. Analysis: The way Spiller tells it, he's never been right physically since he left the Bills after the 2014 season. That was certainly borne out by his usage with the Saints, Seahawks and Jets. Going on 30, the formerly-dynamic talent is most realistically competing with Charcandrick West for No. 3 duties in Kansas City.

With Charles gone it's clear that THIS is the year that Spiller proves all the doubters wrong. BUT NOW
